Usain Bolt Sets 100 Meter Dash World Record at 9.72
Gold Medal For Being Fast and Having The Best Name In Sports
Step aside N'ail Diggs, Usain Bolt officially has the best name in sports.
Headline writers are already eagerly awaiting all the possibilities as the the Beijing Games approach. Bolt figures to win gold as he bolted to a 9.72 100 meter dash at the Reebok Grand Prix in New York.
Bolt, from Jamaica where you're obligated to have a sweet name, broke the record held by fellow Jamaican Asafa Powell.
You have to figure, if his name is indeed Usain Bolt, that he was obligated to become a sprinter.
As you can see from the video, Bolt isn't your prototypical sprinter. 6-foot-5 is incredibly large for this event but clearly he's got some God (and name) given talent. America's Tyson Gay finished with a 9.85, not that there's anything wrong with that.
