Usain Bolt Wins 200m Gold, Sets World Record Time Of 19.30 Seconds At Beijing 2008 Olympic Games
Somebody Drug Test This Man Immediately
READ MORE:

Usain Bolt did today what I think most people expected him to do, which is win the 200m gold in world record time. And he did exactly that, running the race in a blistering 19.30 seconds which you can see below.

Bolt became the first person to accomplish this feat since Carl Lewis did it in 1984. There's little question that anyone who wins the gold in both events is the world's fastest individual alive.

Even scarier is the fact that Bolt is all of 21, and many people believe his technique can be improved. So, in other words, expect this guy to be beating his chest as he crosses the finish line for years to come........that is if he doesn't get busted for doping first.

Now, as much as I hate to bring that up, it's totally valid. The last time we saw an individual destroy people so badly in the 100m dash, it was Ben Johnson. And remember, Ben Johnson didn't slow down at the finish line while setting a world record. Bolt also won the 200m by a mile, which is yet another reason to be concerned.

The fact is that track and field is so dirty these days, I don't trust any winner in the sport anymore at all, nor do I trust people who came in 5th, 6th, or 7th.

Do I think Usain is doping? Well, I'd like to think he isn't, seeing as he appears to be a guy who actually makes track and field kind of fun to watch. But my jaded side is much less sure, and wouldn't be shocked in the least to hear he's been cheating.

But then, these days we can pretty much ask that question about any athlete that stands head and shoulders above their peers.

Yeah he's on something. I think the guy is taking near lethal amounts of awesome.

Needless to say I was questioning whether or not he was using illegal substances as well. My other concern is the fact that there is not a test that can catch hGH 100% of the time, which of course is what a lot of athletes use now days.

Maybe he did win the race and obliterate the old World Records legitimately, but just like Michael Phelps and even Lance Armstrong, when you sit on top of the game either for a long period of time or you bust records at unbelievable marked times, there are going to be questions and eyebrows raised as to whether or not they have done so without any enhancing drugs.

It wouldn't be a surprise if any athlete is doping so why isn't the same question being asked about Phelps?

I SIGNED JUST TO COMMENT ON THIS BLOG CRAP! LISTEN TO ME, DON'T PLAYER HATE THE YOUNG MAN! WHAT IF EVERYONE WAS BEHAVING THAT WAY WHEN YOUR STAR MARION JONES WAS WINNING AND DOPING UP? REMEMBER THAT? AND BY THE WAY WHY DON'T YOU BLOG ABOUT THE 32 VIALS OF BLOOD THEY DRAW FROM SOME OF THE JAMAICAN ATHLETES PER DAY EVEN BEFORE THE RACE? WHY DON'T YOU BLOG ABOUT TESTING MICHAEL PHELPS? HHHMM MAYBE HE'S ON SOMETHING TOO. DON'T BE A SORE LOSER! IF YOU DON'T LIKE OTHER COUNTRIES WINNING MAYBE ONLY USA SHOULD HAVE AN OLYMPICS!

Nice, besides yelling we are illiterate as well. I believe, if you look at the very first comment, we have mentioned the accusations thrown at Phelps and Lance Armstrong as well. I thought I made that perfectly clear-you know, that anyone of that caliber or someone who has been king of the hill longer than expected will always be suspect to doping and/or using illegal substances.

I think most Americans with an ounce of common sense know that there are American athelets whom use illegal susbtances-maybe some are that dumb or nieve, but most know this. It is widely known, just like in the article above, that there are too many track and field athletes that are dirty-this is not saying anything about gender, race and NO MATTER WHAT COUNTRY THEY ARE FROM!

YES I'LL BE ILLITERATE, BUT I'LL NOT BE BIASED! I'VE BEEN ON THE INTERNET AND MAJORITY OF THESE BLOGGERS ARE NOTHING BUT BIASED. GOD FORBID YOU FIND ONE CRITICIZING PHELPS. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO WISHING SOMEONE AN ATHLETE IN THIS CASE YOUR BEST? IF HE WAS DOPING THE TESTS WILL TELL BUT TO CALL JUDGMENT BEFORE HAND IS BEING SORE. AND MY REPLY WAS TO THE ARTICLE, QUOTE "Even scarier is the fact that Bolt is all of 21, and many people believe his technique can be improved. So, in other words, expect this guy to be beating his chest as he crosses the finish line for years to come........that is if he doesn't get busted for doping first." SO WHEN THROWING COMMENTS WITH NEGATIVE AND ACCUSATORY AIRS, STOP AND THINK. WHY DON'T WE THEN SAY THE FACT SOME BIG ATHLETES THAT WERE EXPECTED TO PERFORM HAVEN'T IS BECAUSE OF STRICTER DOPING  LAWS AND TESTS AND THEIR FEAR OF ENDING UP LIKE THE BUNCH THE OTHER DAY, HUH?

let's say he uses illeagal substances.
if those substances are so good that they cannot be found in the drug tests, so probably everybody use them, or will use them.  probabely  micheal johnson used substances as well.
still- between all of these athlets- no one runs like him.
either way, he remains the greatest.

People have been asking the same about Phelps. Thing is, Bolt's wins were ridiculous, even more ridiculous than Phelps'. Especially that 100m. That'd be like Phelps winning by like half a pool length over the second place guy.

Plus track has a deep history of cheating, much more so than swimming.

I DON'T BEAT A PERSON FOR THEIR OPINIONS BUT TO NEGATIVELY CAST A PERSON WITHOUT KNOWING THEM, THEIR LIFESTYLE OR HOW HARD THEY WORKED TO BE AT THE LEVEL OF PERFORMANCE THEY ARE IS UNFAIR. A LOT OF  SPORTS HAVE THE  HISTORY OF CHEATING , BUT  TO  HAVE SEEN BOLT RUN AS A TEEN GAVE  A PREVIEW OF HIS CAPABILITIES ENOUGH FOR COACHES TO TAKE AN INTEREST IN TRAINING HIM. HE IS PERFORMING WELL AND I CONGRATULATE HIM ON HIS VICTORY SHOULD HE BE  CHEATING THAT JUDGMENT WE CANNOT MAKE BEFORE HAND. ALSO IT SEEMS HIS TECHNIQUE SEEMS TO BE WORKING FOR HIM, TO SOME ITS ALL ABOUT THE WINNING TO SOME ITS ABOUT THE EVENT AND HAVING FUN AT WHAT THEY DO. SO FAR HE IS LIVENING UP A STAGE THAT OVER THE YEARS SEEMED TO BE LOSING ITS EXCITEMENT AND DRAMA.

Bolt should be tested to the same standard as Phelps.  If the tests are clean, give them their due.  Bolt can be declared fastest man, but just barely.  He only bettered the 200m time by 0.02 seconds, not the same change that Michael Johnson bettered on his new world record in 1996.  So if Bolt is on the juice, he should switch suppliers if thats as good as he could improve the WR in the 200m on a track surface that has been cited as the "fasted track ever in the Olympics."

I guess you are not aware of the east german women swimmers at the 72 games...I believe swimming was the first sport  where steroids and other performance enhancers were used. Some of Phelps wins were far ahead of the competition. I just hope both of these athletes were not doping

Dude, all athletes are tested the same way. What type of BS comment is "just barely" - he has the fastest time (running into a head wind) and in the free world - the fastest time means you're the fastest man. Also, Johnson was only crowned world's fastest by the american media. After the 96 games Johnson and the 100m champ Bailey had a race to prove who was the fastest and we all know who won that race...

I agree, he only barely broke a record that has stood in the 200 for 12 years.

Maybe I'm reaching but it sounds like sour grapes because an American didn't win.

Yeah, you're reaching, and presumptuous because I'm not American.  Anyway, you have to admit: dropping the WR by 0.02 sec is not "shattering" the record, unlike MJ that dropped it by over 0.3 (that's TENTHS) in '96.  How much did "the fastest Olympic track surface I've ever run on" (source: Ato Boldon last week during NBC commentary in 100 m prelims) contribute to this slight improvement in the 200m WR?  Bolt's performances show his bigger advantage appears to be in the 100m, contrary to his reported favoring of the 200m.

Well since you're obviously not American (I figured that out), why would you have sour grapes because an American didn't win !?!?

When I said it sounds like sour grapes I was talking about  the others who were criticizing Bolt!

I was totally on your side......... that is up until now, but since you want to be presumptuous and think otherwise, forget I said anything !!!!

I'll tell you why the same question isn't being asked about Phelps. It's because Phelps isn't Jamaican.
