Video of Kevin Garnett Throwing Out Red Sox First Pitch to David Ortiz

Big Ticket to Big Pappi. At least Kevin Garnett isn't going to be all that popular in Boston.

You know, for KG's sake, I'm happy he wasn't traded to the Bulls. Garnett would have clearly throw his elbow out with the first pitch at Wrigley.

You can't help but notice just how happy KG is to be in Boston.  If anything, you have to be happy for him.

lol Did KG just tip his hat like he hit a walk off home run? I'm interested to see how these 3 NBA Superstars/Playoff losers turn the Celtics around. I'm actually happy for Boston & I hope they turn the east into somewhat of a threat.

"New England is the center of the sports universe"

Shoot me.

Name another city who has one of the best teams in baseball, and had arguably the biggest deals of the offseason in both basketball and football.

This scene was totally amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing KG in green and white, for however long it lasts.

I think San Antonio, Indianapolis, Anaheim and St. Louis share the title of "Sports Capitals" for now.  Boston can be the "Best teams that aren't winning championships anymore" guys.
Nice copout. IF there is a capital, then there can be only one. IF one exists right now, it would be in New England.

I believe you should win a title before ascending to "sports capital" status, IMHO.

We have 4 in the 2000's. How many other cities have that?

True, I'm just bummed since KG's gone, but I hope he can get a title w/Boston.  He's even a better person than an athlete, which is rare indeed, nowdays!!

But...they don't even have an NFL team. What's a sports capital without an NFL team?

Also, talk about having something funny.  Your teams cant even decide whether to name themselves Colorado after the whole state, or Denver after the capital.

i dunno, we're in the heart of Texas, but we are blooming. We held more fans for the Saints here in SA then New Orleans ever will. 75,000 fans showed to see the Saints play here in their 3 games. The NFL is placing San Antonio next in line for an expansion team. The Dallas Cowboys practice in San Antonio every year. They love to have camp and practice here. We used to have an NHL team but they got sold and we have an AHL team.

Don't forget that it's not truly "Boston's" team. The Patriots play in Foxboro, 20 miles from Boston.  (Just bein smuggg)

They can't decide? They've changed the names back and forth? And I bet they're the only group that does that, too.  You almost had your first point, but again not even close.
LOL I never said they're the only team to do that.  There are plenty other, but it applies to this situation.  Why can't you just stay on topic with your posts?
