WNBA Fight Between Detroit Shock And Los Angeles Sparks

And They're Playing The Feud!!!
by Jubanator14
7/23/08

So first we kicked off the week with Danica Patrick and Milka Duno with their semi cat fight, if you even want to call it that, and now the WNBA has one upped them big time. Naturally, the fight occurred in Detroit (what is it about that place?) between the Detroit Shock and the Los Angeles Sparks.

While this first video is kind of hard to tell what exactly happened, you do get to see Rick Mahorn get hit in the back by a flying haymaker after he throws Lisa Leslie down.

As you will see in the video below, Candace Parker starts it off with a forearm take down of Plenette Pierson, then she follows that up with a leg sweep that Johnny Lawrence would be jealous of. In addition to that, Cheryl Ford blows out a knee and needed to be wheelchaired off the court. Just a crazy scene at the Palace, and definitely not something you want to see if you're a WNBA fan. But then again, no one's a WNBA fan.

No word on where Ron Artest was during all of this.

Tragic to see someone blow a knee out. Granted it doesnt beat Milton Bradley was it? Who hurt himself attempting to argue with one of the officials for a 1st base call. Classic. The WNBA needs more shenanegins like this. Put it out in public.

Was anyone else rooting for Rick Mahorn to strike back?  He was a bad bad dude back in the day.
