This video is like something out of a dream, or a total nightmare, I don't know which. But anyway, it's from a show that was on in 1986 called War of the Stars, and it features His Airness against Charlie and Martin Sheen. Apparently people would watch just about anything in the 80s.
There are three segments: a free-throw shooting contest, a game of horse, and a one-on-two basketball game.
And to top it all off, the thing is narrated by Dick Van Patten of all people. If you're under 25, you probably have no clue who the hell that is.
I don't even know what to say, except who was Jordan's agent at this point in his career? Man, I hope he was fired shortly after this.
Did the Sheen's raid Richard Simmons house for the shorts. Hell those would be short on Emilio.
As for Van Patten, he got cred. The man did father one of the scrappiest players ever, EVER from Carver High. Vince Van Patten aka Salami, who along with Gomez did all the dirty work. Rarely did a game go by that Salami did not use his full allotment of fouls. Them sharp elbow and Bruce Bowen-esque defensive tactics kept things open for Coolidge to roam on D. On O, you know he was setting the screens to free up Thorpe and give one of the greatest Slasher ever in TV High School Basketball Haywood room to get to the rack.
Okay I think I may have watched too much White Shadow as a child. Screw that, I could never watch enough.
I can't believe I just watched the whole thing. I'm sure Charlie celebrated with a bunch of blow after the game and probably took his dad to get some hookers.
