Sure, there's baseball, but why not Hockey?
Tonight we only have a handful of games on, but in the schedule there are some rivalries, and some rematches, and undoubtedly, some good games.
Bryan and Jess are here with their picks, so join in and give us yours as well.
Here's our schedule, all times Eastern:
Toronto Maple Leafs (22-13-4) at New York Rangers (19-16-4)
Broadcast: TSN, RDS2, MSG
Bryan: I'm feeling these two are going to split their sorta-kinda home and home bout. Rangers win at MSG and keep themselves in the top 8.
Jess: I think the Leafs are better this year, but I'm rooting for the Rangers to take it at home.
Debi: I'm with you guys on this. Home team takes it.
Boston Bruins (25-9-4) at New Jersey Devils (15-14-10)
Broadcast: NBCSN, TSN2
Bryan: It's just not happening for the Devils. The slide continues against a Boston team that knows how to be as stingy on defense as the Devils have prided themselves on all these years. Bruins get the W.
Jess: The Devils are a mess. Bruins
Debi: Again, I agree. Sweep!
Vancouver Canucks (22-11-6) at Calgary Flames (14-20-4)
Broadcast: SNET-P, SNET-CGY
Bryan: I think Calgary has a chance at home. Time for the Flames to start playing spoiler, and what better way to do it than against your rivals?
Jess: Ack didn't we just have this game last week? Well, your Flames are at home Debi, and I think we're all going for the upset...Go Calgary!
Debi: The Flames have home ice advantage tonight, and momentum from the win the other night against Colorado, but with their biggest cheerleader, Matt Stajan, out with an upper body injury, it is going to be a really tough road. They have recalled players from the minor leagues, juggled some of the lines, and told everyone to play like it's the Stanley Cup finals. I sincerely hope they can do just that, and beat the Canucks.
Phoenix Coyotes (17-16-6) at Edmonton Oilers (16-16-7)
Broadcast: FS-A PLUS, SNET-W
Bryan: Woof...umm, Phoenix.
Jess: Hmm, I'm thinking Yotes
Debi: I still haven't figured out what you mean by woof, but I agree with Phoenix.
Colorado Avalanche (12-22-5) at Anaheim Ducks (27-8-5)
Broadcast: ALT2, KDOC
Bryan: The Ducks are far superior to the Avs this year, and they should take full advantage of that tonight. Ducks win the night cap!
Jess: Aww do we get to see Jiggy tonight? I don't even know who's in net for the Avs but that would be fun.
Debi: The Flames beat the Avs the other night (Have I said that enough, yet?) so the Ducks really shouldn't have any problem getting the win tonight at home.
Last night I got to actually see parts of three different games. The one I was most impressed with was definitely the Jets, so for your viewing pleasure, here are the video highlights.
