If you could sum up Joe Alexander's dominating 34 point performance in one play, this would be it. [Awful Announcing]
I'm not sure whether I enjoy the Big East tournament so much because the level of play and competition is fierce, or just because Bill Raftery delivers the action to us so well. I still beg the announcing Gods to give us just one game of Gus Johnson and Bill.
But back to Joe for a minute. Last year he failed to score a single point when the Mountaineers won the NIT Championship. Now a junior it's good to see him realizing his potential. Hopefully he stays for another year, and no joke, I think he could contend for player of the year honors. There's no reason he can't average 30 a night.
He's good ... but I'm afraid he's not exactly Larry Bird, Rece Davis.
