Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, Ty Rogers' Buzzer Beater Over Drake

To quote my man Gus, "THIS is March Madness!"

Western Kentucky led by as much as 16 points in the second half, but Jonathan Cox's 17 points in a 10 minute span pulled the Drake Bulldogs back to take the game to overtime.

Before that happened I think the Hilltoppers were robbed of a potential opportunity at the free throw line to win in regulation. Tyrone Brazelton was called for a charge after having his jersey grabbed. Moot point.

In overtime, Drake leading 99-98, March Madness happened. Brazelton (33 points) set Ty Rogers up for this lengthy buzzer beating three-pointer. It was his first of the day.

Hilltoppers advance. 12-seed beats the 5. Count on it.

As someone who had had Drake going to the Sweet 16, seeing this today was...great. Even though it cost me a Sweet 16 team, this is what I love about March. If only the committee would stop putting Mid-Majors against each other.
