The Greatest World Series Catchphrase Ever Is Finally Here For Your Enjoyment |

READ MORE:
I remember when I was once driving on the outskirts of New York City at 4:00am listening to a sports radio station. A guy named Vinnie from Queens called up and said "if the Yankees start pitchin' better and hittin' better, they'll be a better team." Brilliant diagnosis by Vinnie. Moral of the story: Almost everyone who calls into sports radio shows is an idiot.
But sometimes, that idiocy sparks a team on to victory, and that seems to be exactly what's going on in Philly.
You may recall that a Phillies fan named Marty from Delaware called into an XM sports radio show last week and said to the world about the Phillies winning the World Series, "Why not us?" The catch phrase has taken off, and become the rallying cry for this team.
Luckily, thanks to the 700 Level, we also finally have the audio of this amazing grammatically-challenged moment in Phillies history.
Sure, some people in Philly think this catch phrase makes the city look stupid, but let's be honest, when has Philly ever been considered an intelligent city? After all, this was the city that threw snowballs at Santa Claus.
So just enjoy it Philly. Why can't us? Why can't us indeed.
