Since I bludgeoned you guys last year with Ohio State-Michigan talk I've been holding back since it's only a Rose Bowl bid on the line. Plus, the WWL is doing what it does best with its Disnergy. But I didn't want to go another year without posting this video of Woody Hayes punching Clemson linebacker Charlie Bauman in the 1978 Gator Bowl.

The one thought I always have whenever I see old Woody clips or quotes, besides that he was a crazy SOB, is can you imagine Hayes in today's media?

Many blogs got all huffy when Mark Dantonio *gasp* spoke with some venom towards Michigan. Woody Hayes was that times 10 in regard to the Maize and Blue or any opponent for that matter. It's unfortunate the media has such so much power with regard to how coaches must conduct themselves. Extreme personalities like Woody Hayes were exceptional coaches because of their passion, motivational techniques and tough disciplined approaches. All of which are seen as unacceptable today.

0	That's awesome. It might not be acceptable today, but we sure could use more coaches like Woody now days. Not that OSU has problems, but I bet Woody wouldn't have a bunch of his own players getting in trouble off of the field. He would straight up rip them a new one.
