Next time you see Vince Carter struggle to get up after a minor bump, think of Jake Brown.
This crazy SOB lost control of his skateboard during the Big Air event, and fell 50 feet right onto his back (Watch video until the end). Most amazing part is that the dude walked away from the fall. Need I remind you, he fell 50 feet onto his back. Landed so hard his shoes flew off ... and walked away. I can't remember a worse fall in sports, aside from maybe Brady Quinn.
You have to give it up to these X Games Athletes/Crazy People sometimes.
I actually didn't see it until now, but that's pretty funny I got it at the same time.
You're right, this dude deserves the massive cajones award.
I was watching last night, and I heard the announcers scream and yell after the first ramp, and I look over and see this guy fall from the roof. And he turned around to land on the part without the pads/protection.
Wow! It's amazing that these guys can walk away from that stuff. I missed this competition, and I thought the guy doing the double backflip crashing was bad. Yikes!
The funniest thing is the announcer, seconds after the guy fell 50' and is lying there not moving, saying "I can't believe he made a 720" The guy is lying there, possibly dying, and he still can't believe the great move beforehand!
It's really painful to watch, but for some reason I have to watch it over and over again, I can't believe he landed that first trick. jk on that last sentence.
No doubt, it's amazing that he not only got up, but that he was able to get out of the hospital the next day and make an appearance at the X games. But kind of crazy he will be back next year
