If you didn't watch any portion of the game tonight that headline is probably throwing you off. Allow me to explain: a few Virginia Tech players' jerseys mysteriously went missing before kickoff and as a last ditch effort, they had to wear old Georgia Tech jerseys with the name scribbled off.
This might explain why Yellow Jackets QB Taylor Bennett kept throwing to the Hokies defensive backs. He was miserable. Bennett, having only thrown 3 interceptions all season, doubled his total tonight with 3 more.
Virginia Tech QB Sean Glennon, wearing the old GT jersey, threw for 296 yards. If you've ever watched Glennon play before you've been knocked off your feet. He was so good, in fact, that when backup jerseys arrived at halftime Sean refused to change. Needless to say, Georgia Tech didn't ask for their #7 back.
