Virginia Tech senior cornerback Kyle Fuller will miss 4-6 weeks after having surgery to repair a lingering foot injury on Thursday morning, reports Heather Dinich of ESPN. Blog Photo - Virginia Tech football: CB Kyle Fuller to miss 4-6 weeks

This means the Hokies will be without their best defensive player for their regular season finale at Virginia on November 30 and potential ACC Championship Game the following week.

There's also the possibility that the 6-foot, 190-pound future early-round NFL draft pick could miss his final bowl as a student-athlete, depending on where the cards fall with VTU's postseason invitations.

Despite straining his groin during the mid-October bye week Fuller had played in every game up until the Maryland game this past weekend.

Recent history shows that coach Frank Beamer will use freshmen Kendall Fuller (Kyle's brother) and Brandon Facyson as a tag-team duo during his absence.

In 42 career games as a starter, Fuller has 149 total tackles (112 solo), 21.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, six interceptions and three forced fumbles.
