Blog Photo - Washington State Football: WR Marquess Wilson SuspendedWashington State star receiver Marquess Wilson has been suspended for a week due to a violation of team rules, reports Christian Caple of the Spokesman-Review.

The Moscow-Pullman Daily News reported earlier today that Wilson refused to finish a pushup drill and walked out on his team just 20 minutes into a two-hour Monday morning workout session.

Wilson was recently demoted from his starting position despite leading the team in receiving (52 receptions, 813 yards, five touchdowns). He's been the center for criticism dating back to the offseason, where he had to be convinced not to quit the team by another teammate.

Washington State (2-7, 0-6 Pac-12) was destroyed by Utah Saturday, 49-6. Coach Mike Leach told reporters that the effort of his players was "bordering on cowardice," following the team's sixth consecutive loss.

The Cougars play No. 17 UCLA this upcoming Saturday.
