The playoff race is beginning to heat up now that nearly 60 percent of the season is complete. Every division is still up for grabs, with each having multiple teams that could make the playoffs. The Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks have the two best records in the NFL, and the New York Jets are leading the final wildcard spot in the AFC by a full game over the Tennessee Titans—the NFL can be a weird place sometimes.
Many teams will be looking to use Week 10 to separate themselves from the pack and start building toward the playoffs. There is nothing that really stands out in this week’s lines. The Jaguars are again double-digit underdogs, which at this point in this season, is not surprising at all. The Denver Broncos have been a high scoring team all year, and have not gone under their allotted total once this season, but this week’s 58 point over/under seems a bit absurd.
The Dallas Cowboys as 6.5-point underdogs feels like a solid play to make. The team is 4-0 when playing as an underdog, and has been covering their fair share of spreads. The Saints, on the other hand, are coming off of a disappoint loss to the Jets and probably shouldn’t be trusted with such a large number.
