Blog Photo - Week 11 FanIQ Sunday Pre-Game and Live ThreadWelcome to the NFL Week 11 "pregame" and Live Thread on FanIQ! Today we greet RaiderSteeler15, or as you may know him, Falcon. Falcon has been on FanIQ for just over two years, and is very active in the NFL area of the site. This week he has provided us with an in-depth analysis of each game; so in-depth that I will simply add my picks just briefly. Let's see what he has to say!

As the NFL season have seven more weeks until the regular season ends, some of the teams that are hot right now may sink later so don't let the records fool you... Here are my picks for Week 11:

Early Games:

Cardinals @ Falcons
Blog Photo - Week 11 FanIQ Sunday Pre-Game and Live ThreadThe Atlanta Falcons got a dose of reality when they visited the Saints in the Big Easy and suffered their 1st loss of the season, they learned that having a perfect season is never guaranteed. The Falcons have an opportunity to bounce back against a Arizona Cardinals ball club who are coming off their Bye-Week to figure out their weaknesses and one of them is the QB position, neither Kevin Kolb (Injured) or John Skelton has shown the League who is the QB that the Cardinals can count on as Arizona is 31st in Scoring Offense and Total Yards in Offense, 20th in Passing Offense and an atrocious 32nd in Running the Ball... The Cardinals are thin in the RB position and their O-Line hasn't been the best in the league this year. The Cardinals thrive off defense and Special teams which won't get it done week in and week out especially if the Cardinals are averaging 16.0 points a game... Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons better not take this Cardinals team lightly, if given the chance, the Cardinals can keep this game close enough where they may put themselves in position to snap their 5-game setback but the Falcons have enough offensive firepower to beat the Cardinals, I don't think the Cardinals' offense will handle the Georgia Dome Crowd and the amped-up Falcons' defense. Falcons over Cardinals

Jess: Falcons

Browns @ Cowboys
Blog Photo - Week 11 FanIQ Sunday Pre-Game and Live ThreadThe Dallas Cowboys handed the eagles their 5th loss by embarrassing the eagles 38-23. That win should give them a boost to win their 2nd straight game against the Browns ballclub who have found some consistency on offense with Brandon Weeden and Trent Richardson leading the way but the Browns' offense will have their hands full against Demarcus Ware and the Cowboys' pass rush and the Cowboys' stingy secondary... Tony Romo should have a better game against the Browns' defense that gives up 23 points a game as well as being 27th in Run Defense, 24th in Total Yard defense and 22nd in stopping the pass... I believe Dallas will stay pace of the NFC East to keep pace of the New York Giants and to distance themselves from the Washington 'Skins and the Philadelphia Eagles in the process. Cowboys over Browns

Jess: Cowboys

Packers @ Lions
Blog Photo - Week 11 FanIQ Sunday Pre-Game and Live ThreadThe Green Bay Packers are in good position where they can secure a playoff spot this year but the biggest concern has to be the Packers' defense this year... Packers' Mad Man Clay Matthews may not play against the Lions and the Packers are thin in the Linebacker Department as well as the secondary due to injuries. Also the Green Bay Packers' Running Game has not paid dividends as well which leads to the Packers Relying so much on Aaron Rodgers who is one of the best QBs to play the game today but Rodgers can only do but so much especially if the offense is not balanced... Even though the Packers are coming off the Bye Week, The Lions have played some good football as of late even though they suffered a 34-24 setback by the Vikings and the Lions getting swept by the Vikings in the process this season. It's the first time since the Vikings swept the Lions since the 2009 NFL season... The Lions are 2-1 in the last 3 games and the Packers are on a 4-game winning streak but Green Bay better not think this game in Motown will be a walk in a park as Matthew Stafford continues to throw for over 300 yards and 6 TDs combined in the last 2 out of 3 games. Lions' RB Mikel Leshoure has done a decent job of raking in some good rushing yards even though he's rushed for under 100 yards in the last several games in the absence of Lions' RB Jahvid Best... So the X-Factor to me will be the banged-up Packers' Defense and how they will contain Matt Stafford and how they can stop Mikel Leshoure in the Absence of Clay Matthews.... But the Lions have issues of their own on defense as far as the secondary but the Lions' defense has got a little bit better but I expect a shootout in this game with the Lions winning their 1st division game of the season. With the Packers' defense being banged-up, the Lions have an opportunity to be a partly responsible for spoiling the Packers' chance of making the playoffs. Lions over Packers

Jess: Packers

Bengals @ Chiefs
Blog Photo - Week 11 FanIQ Sunday Pre-Game and Live ThreadThe Cincinnati Bengals ended their 4-game losing streak by frustrating Eli Manning and the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants and destroying them 31-13. The Bengals have an opportunity to add more misery to the Kansas City Chief team who are struggling in Quarterback production from Matt Cassel. Even though the Chiefs' best offense is Jamaal Charles but he knows that he can only do so much especially if Kansas City is # 26 in passing offense and #30 scoring offense and the defense hasn't been better as they give up 28 points per game and are 23rd in rushing defense. The Chiefs are out of playoff contention and they will have no choice but to compete for the #1 draft pick as far as finding a new quarterback for the future. Bengals over Chiefs

Jess: Chiefs

Jets @ Rams
Blog Photo - Week 11 FanIQ Sunday Pre-Game and Live ThreadThe New York Jets have been one of the most underachieving teams in the league as the Jets continue to struggle on offense due to their lack of Wide Receiver productions, their best WR target Santonio Holmes is out for the season and as a result of the lack of Wide Receiver depth, Mark Sanchez has struggled to put points on the board as well as moving the ball down the field in the process, the addition of Tim Tebow hasn't healed the pain that the jets are having. In my opinion, this is has to be Mark Sanchez' worst season in his NFL career... The St. Louis Rams who played a hard fought game against the 49ers at Candlestick Park in a draw which ended their 3-game skid should be a little more upbeat to add more misery to the New York Jets' Ballclub who are searching for answers not only on offense but on defense as well. As the old saying goes, "If I go down, you go down" and that's been the case for the Jets, ever since the Jets' offense has struggled, the defense has been any better, giving up 25 points a game and 145 yards on the ground per game. I believe Stephen Jackson will have a great game against the Jets' 30th rush defense. The Rams have an decent edge on defense over the Jets and this is a Rams team that's playing for pride and as they continue to rebuild for the future. Rams over Jets

Jess: Rams

Eagles @ Redskins
Blog Photo - Week 11 FanIQ Sunday Pre-Game and Live ThreadNow that Mike Vick will be out for some time, this is the VERY LAST CHANCE that the eagles have to win to survive and to fight for the chance to make the playoffs... Nick Foles will have another opportunity to redeem himself from his 2-turnover (1 Pick 6 and Fumble Recovery for a Touchdown) performance against a Washington 'Skins' Ballclub who are 30th in stopping the pass as well as giving up 27 points a game.(27th in scoring defense) The 'skins are coming off their bye week and would love to add more misery to this Philadelphia Eagles' ballclub that has a 5-game losing streak and Coach Andy Reid has never been in a slump like this in his 14-year tenure with the Eagles. As horrible as the eagles' defense has been throughout the 5-game skid, the Eagles' defense could have their hands full in containing Robert Griffin the 3rd who is making a name for himself in the Washington D.C. area and in the NFL as he continues to send the message to the rest of the league that he'll be one of the most feared QB in years to come... Nick Foles had a decent preseason with the eagles and if he get enough reps in practice, he should be good to go this week and he should have a better game against the 'skins' defense. This is where the eagles should have a "Enough is enough" attitude if they want to end this 5-game skid and the eagles' defense need to make plays to limit RG3 from doing alot of damage because RG3 will make opponents pay if given the chance to make some plays down the stretch. After this matchup, the eagles have an easy schedule playing the panthers the week after Week 11 so starting this week, the eagles have a chance to start winning right now because if they lose to the skins, there will be no tomorrow for the eagles as far as winning the NFC East or making the playoffs. Eagles over 'Skins

Jess: Redskins

Bucs @ Panthers
Blog Photo - Week 11 FanIQ Sunday Pre-Game and Live ThreadThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been playing some good football as of late winning 3 consecutive games and averaging 37 points in the last 3 games but the biggest concern that still remain for the Bucs is the defense... Even though the Bucs are on a hot streak, they have struggle to hold opponents to 300 yards and under (30th in Total Yard defense)and they are still giving up 20 points and over (18th in scoring defense) and they are last (32nd) in stopping the pass. The Bucs may look like a playoff contender in most people's eyes but if they want to make the playoffs, they will have to improve on those departments, they can't always rely on their #1 rush defense to get the job done especially when it comes to Cam Newton... Even though Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers are not having their best season but never underestimate Cam Newton who is no stranger to moving the ball down the field and scoring touchdowns especially when it comes to attacking weak secondaries in the air. Another issue for the panthers has been their special team defense, if the panthers have a shot of winning this game, they should improve on special team defense but I believe Cam Newton will have a better game and get his payback from Week 1 when the Bucs narrowly beat the Panthers in Tampa 16-10. This game will also come down to who makes the fewest turnovers. Carolina would love to be partly responsible for the Bucs' shortcomings of making the playoffs as the Bucs will play the Broncos, Falcons and Eagles after this matchup with the panthers... Panthers over Bucs

Jess: Panthers

Jags @ Texans
Blog Photo - Week 11 FanIQ Sunday Pre-Game and Live ThreadThe Houston Texans should feel great about beating the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on Sunday Night Football on Week 10 as they continue to be the #1 team in the AFC and possibly make that push to go to the Super Bowl. The Jacksonville Jaguars on the other hand is a team that have nothing to lose at this point and are out of playoff contention so they won't have any other choice but to also compete with the Kansas City Chiefs to get a #1 draft pick in this coming offseason. The Jaguars are the worst (32nd) when it comes to scoring offense and total yards offense. Ever since the Jaguars drafted Blaine Gabbert in 2011, it hasn't paid any dividends for the team as Gabbert and the Jaguars' offense is also responsible for why they are 31st in passing offense and the running game hasn't been any better being 30th in rushing yard especially in the absence of Maurice Jones-Drew. The Defense for the Jags are just as awful as the offense as they are 26th in scoring defense and total yards defense, 29th in stopping the run, and 23rd in stopping the pass which means this Jaguars team will have their hands full stopping Matt Schaub, Arian Foster and the Texans' offense that are 5th in scoring offense and Arian Foster should have a great game against the Jaguars. The Texans' defense should have a field day as well against Jags' offense as they will continue to limit the jags from scoring many touchdowns and moving the ball down the field. Expect a lop-sided game in this matchup. Texans over Jaguars

Late Games:

Saints @ Raiders
Blog Photo - Week 11 FanIQ Sunday Pre-Game and Live ThreadThe New Orleans Saints have won their last 2 games beating the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football(Week 9) and the once undefeated Atlanta Falcons at the Superdome in the Big Easy (Week 10) but their challenge is on the road as they visit the Oakland Raiders at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum also known as the "Black Hole". The Saints defense gives up 31 points on the road as oppose to giving up 24 points at the Superdome. The Saints may have found their groove on their home turf but will they find their groove on the road? Stopping Carson Palmer and the Raiders' 5th passing offense could be a difficult task for the Saints' defense that ranks 31st and stopping the run and stopping the pass, 32nd in total yard defense and 28th in scoring defense. Also Carson Palmer has been the heart of the Raiders' offense when the running game at times struggled. It's a chance that Raiders' RB Darren McFadden may not play in this game but Mike Goodson (Raiders' RB) should be a go as he tries to exploit the Saints' defense that hasn't been good on stopping the run. The Raiders' defense will also be challenged when Drew Brees steps on the field to attack the Raiders' defense that gives up 31 points a game (31st in scoring defense), 24th in stopping the pass, 23rd in total yards defense and 21st in stopping the run. Expect a shoot-out in this matchup between Brees vs. Palmer as the Raiders attempt to snap their 2-game losing streak and fight for their playoff hopes. If the Silver and Black want to make the playoffs, they will have to improve on their defense as well as winning all of their remaining games starting with the Saints. Brees will have a good game but it'll be up to the Saints' defense to limit Carson Palmer and the Raiders' passing attack and the Saints' 28th rushing offense to have a great day if the saints have a shot of beating the raiders and making it 3 straight wins. This game will also come down to who makes the fewest mistakes and the Raiders have a slight edge on defense over the Saints. Raiders over Saints

Jess: Saints

Chargers @ Broncos
Blog Photo - Week 11 FanIQ Sunday Pre-Game and Live ThreadPeyton Manning is totally responsible for why the Denver Broncos are on a 4-game winning streak as they host the AFC West Foes San Diego Chargers. The Last time these 2 teams met was on a Monday Night Football game in San Diego (Week 6) where the Chargers had a 24-0 lead at halftime and Peyton Manning lead the Broncos from a 24-point deficit, outscoring the Chargers 35-0 and getting 6 turnovers (4 interceptions from Philip Rivers and 2 fumble returns) in the process. In this rematch at Mile High, don't expect the Chargers to get a 24-point lead on the Broncos on the road as the Broncos will attempt to make things alot rough for the Chargers as they are 1-4 in their last 5 game. They only beat the Kansas City Chiefs in that stretch. Philip Rivers has 8 interceptions in the last 5 games and has 12 interceptions all together this year which makes him 8 interceptions shy of tying his career-high when he had 20 interceptions last year. That also explains why the Chargers 22nd in total yard offense, 16th in the passing game, 18th in running the ball and 17th in scoring offense. Ever since Vincent Jackson (WR for the Buccaneers) left the Chargers and Darren Sproles (RB for the Saints) left the Chargers, the Chargers' offense hasn't been the same even with Chargers' TE Antonio Gates being the main target for Philip Rivers hasn't help heal the pain. Peyton Manning should have a good game once again against a Charger Secondary that is 17th in stopping the pass and a defense that gives up 21 points a game. (11th in scoring defense) Philip Rivers and the Chargers' offense will be challenged once again as they face a Broncos' defense that are 6th in total yards defense and 10th in scoring defense and stopping the run and 11th in stopping the pass and would love to generate turnovers and get Rivers closer to his career-high interception record. Broncos over Chargers

Jess: Broncos

Colts @ Patriots
Blog Photo - Week 11 FanIQ Sunday Pre-Game and Live ThreadThis is the "Student vs. Teacher" Matchup. Luck vs. Brady. Andrew Luck is the rookie for the Indianapolis Colts this is making a great name for himself. The City of Indianapolis (Naptown) may never get over the absence of Peyton Manning (Some people at least) but Andrew Luck has shown Indy that the Colts have a bright future and has sent a message real loud and clear that he will be one of the best quarterbacks in years to come in the NFL and I wouldn't be surprised if he won Rookie of the Year. Andrew Luck has the improving Colts in the Playoff Hunt at 6-3 but going against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium is never an easy task especially when it comes to winning a game there... The Colts' 18th total defense, 15th pass and scoring defense and 22nd run defense could have their hands full against Tom Brady and the Pats' offense that is #1 in scoring and total yards offense, #5 in rushing offense and #7 in passing offense... If the Colts want to pull an upset in Foxboro, Andrew Luck will have to score in advance against the Pats and the Colts defense will have to play extremely perfect against the Future Hall of Famer Tom Brady. It's a good chance that it'll be raining touchdowns when Luck and Brady clash together. Patriots over Colts

Primetime:

Ravens @ Steelers
Blog Photo - Week 11 FanIQ Sunday Pre-Game and Live ThreadThis should be a very good game between these teams. When these 2 teams meet, it's like watching a heavyweight fight. The Baltimore Ravens dumped the Oakland Raiders 55-20 winning their second straight game in the row, Even though the Ravens are 26th in stopping the run and stopping the passing and 27th in total yards defense, they are 13th in scoring defense... The Ravens' offense has been alot better putting up 28 points per game which makes them 4th in scoring offense in the league. Joe Flacco has stepped up offensively in the absence of Ray Lewis along with Ravens' RB Ray Rice, and Ravens' WRs Torrey Smith, Anquan Boldin and Jacoby Jones. As for the Pittsburgh Steelers, they narrowly beat the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football and Big Ben Roethlisberger was injured in that game that affected his right shoulder, if Big Ben doesn't play this week, this could be a major concern for the steelers' offense especially with the running game that hasn't been better this year.(21st in Running the Ball) Big Ben has been the heartbeat for the Steelers' offense especially with the Steelers' 4 game winning streak. The Steelers may be #1 and total yard defense and stopping the pass but if the Steelers struggle to put points on the board with Byron Leftwich, (Backup Steelers QB) the Steelers may be put in position where they could lose some games down the stretch after this matchup with the Ravens even if Big Ben was to play on Sunday Night Football he may not be 100% healthy. The Steelers will see a totally different Ravens team that loves to light up the scoreboard. I love the Pittsburgh Steelers but it comes a time where you have to be critical about your favorite teams going through roadbumps. Ravens over Steelers

Jess: Ravens

MNF Bonus Pick:

Bears @ Niners
Blog Photo - Week 11 FanIQ Sunday Pre-Game and Live ThreadThe Chicago Bears had their 6-game winning streak snapped against the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football on Week 10 as they regroup and head to San Francisco to face the San Francisco 49ers that played the NFC West foe St. Louis Rams that resulted in a draw. When the Bears played the Texans on Sunday Night football, we learned that the Bears' offense is capable of struggling against another defense that can be as good as the Bears' defense especially when it comes to putting points on the board. What do the 49ers and the Bears have in common? Not only they are good on defense but they both have starting quarterbacks that suffered a concussion and may be doubtful to play on Monday Night Football. That means Jason Campbell may start to replace Jay Cutler for the Bears and Colin Kaepernick who is capable of being a mobile quarterback will start to replace Alex Smith. This will be an offensive struggle for both the Bears and the 49ers and we should expect a low scoring affair, I believe the Bears' offense will continue to struggle getting the ball into the endzone as they face a 49ers' team this is stingy when it comes to giving up points, (1st in scoring defense) also they are 3rd in total yards defense, 5th in stopping the pass and 7th in stopping the run. The 49ers' offense will be challenged as well as they face the NFL's #2 scoring defense and the Bears's 4th ranked defense will be ready to prevent 49ers' RB Frank Gore for having a big game. This game will also come down to how many turnovers each team will have in this game, the team with the fewest turnovers will win this game on Monday Night Football. Also the 49ers' defense should have the hometown crowd rooting for them to play better which may play a factor into why the bears' offense will continue to struggle scoring points at Candlestick Park. 49ers over Bears

Jess: Ugh. Niners.

Thank you for your input, Falcon!

Now that we're in the last half of the season, it's playoff push time. Grab a drink and some snacks as usual, and Q it up here for NFL Sunday!

The second half today is gonna be really great...or really awful, based on these scores. I'm thinking really great  and crazy though.

You tweeted earlier that your kid was grounded. You should make her watch the Jags game in full as punishment.

Remember the tweet - how I said I hate it when she's grounded on the weekend? That's because the parents are punished when the children are grounded as well. Watching the Jags game in full (sorry Texans) would be just one example of that.

My poor daughter. After we went to the Jx preseason game, she decided that the Jags were her 2nd favorite team. I tried to warn her that they're comically bad, and she said "so...we've liked the Seahawks all my life and they've been really bad."  Touche.

What's the best game to watch right now? Most exciting? Maybe I'll GameMix it.
