Week 11 NFL Predictions

The AFC West Could Be On The Line This Sunday. Who Will Take It? [Week 11 NFL Predictions]

11/19/09 in NFL   |   Pat   |   5232 respect

Last week was the worst week thus far for the FanIQ consensus picks, as they went 7-8, for the first losing week. Personally, I did a little better, with a respectable 10-5 record, thanks to the 49ers, Bengals, Chiefs and Chargers' unexpected wins. Here are this week's predictions. I'm sure the world will come back to normal and you guys will crush me again.

Thursday Night Football

Dolphins at Panthers
FanIQ consensus: Dolphins 22, Panthers 21
My pick: Panthers 23, Dolphins 17
-The Panthers have been playing decently well lately, and the Dolphins are without Ronnie Brown. The Dolphins don't play well on the road, but tonight's game should be close.

Sunday, 1:00

49ers at Packers
FanIQ consensus: Packers 23, 49ers 18
My pick: Packers 20, 49ers 13
-The Packers played great against the Cowboys last week, and the 49ers offense was terrible against the Bears. Just like everyone else, the 49ers will get to Aaron Rodgers for a few sacks, but that doesn't matter if they can't score.

Saints at Buccaneers
FanIQ consensus: Saints 32, Buccaneers 15
My pick: Saints 38, Buccaneers 13
-The Saints almost let the Rams beat them last week, so I think it's safe to say that they're going to start taking bad teams seriously.

Falcons at Giants
FanIQ consensus: Giants 24, Falcons 20
My pick: Giants 27, Falcons 20
-This is a game between two talented teams, who are both in desperate situations after a terrible recent slide. I believe this could be the week Eli Manning and the Giants finally get back on track.

Colts at Ravens
FanIQ consensus: Colts 28, Ravens 19
My pick: Ravens 30, Colts 27
-I'm going out on a limb a little bit with this one, but I think that the Colts will be coming off a serious emotional high from the Patriots game, and the Ravens match up well with them. Their running game will not be nearly as incompetent as the Patriots were.

Seahawks at Vikings
FanIQ consensus: Vikings 29, Seahawks 16
My pick: Vikings 33, Seahawks 14
-The Vikings shouldn't really have trouble with this game, especially at home.

Browns at Lions
FanIQ consensus: Lions 18, Browns 15
My pick: Lions 20, Browns 9
-This is this week's Toilet Bowl. Whoever loses this game probably deserves to be contracted.

Bills at Jaguars
FanIQ consensus: Jaguars 23, Bills 16
My pick: Jaguars 23, Bills 10
-The Bills are a disaster right now, and the new coach won't help anything. Especially with Ryan Fitzpatrick under center.

Redskins at Cowboys
FanIQ consensus: Cowboys 26, Redskins 16
My pick: Cowboys 33, Redskins 16
-The Cowboys are ready to take out their frustrations on a mediocre division opponent, after their disappointing loss to the Packers.

Steelers at Chiefs
FanIQ consensus: Steelers 28, Chiefs 14
My pick: Steelers 27, Chiefs 19
-The Steelers shouldn't have a problem with the Chiefs, especially with Dwayne Bowe suspended.

Sunday, 4:00

Jets at Patriots
FanIQ consensus: Patriots 29, Jets 18
My pick: Patriots 38, Jets 13
-The Jets talked a lot after their first win over the Patriots, and between that and last week's bitter loss against the Colts, the Patriots will be playing like a team possessed. The Jets probably don't have a chance.

Cardinals at Rams
FanIQ consensus: Cardinals 27, Rams 15
My pick: Cardinals 28, Rams 12
-The Rams are in the middle of a tough stretch in their schedule right now, and this game won't be any better. Probably worse, if anything.

Bengals at Raiders
FanIQ consensus: Bengals 27, Raiders 14
My pick: Bengals 30, Raiders 6
-Benching JaMarcus Russell was probably a good move, but the Raiders still have a long way to go.

Chargers at Broncos
FanIQ consensus: Chargers 23, Broncos 22
My pick: Chargers 24, Broncos 21
-This game is huge for these teams, and could determine the winner of the division. The Chargers are just playing much better right now, and are desperate for revenge from their early season loss.

Sunday Night Football

Eagles at Bears
FanIQ consensus: Eagles 24, Bears 19
My pick: Eagles 17, Bears 13
-This is a must-win for both teams. Fortunately for them, the Bears are at home. Unfortunately, the Eagles are just a better team right now.

Monday Night Football

Titans at Texans
FanIQ consensus: Texans 24, Titans 21
My pick: Titans 23, Texans 20
-The Titans can win, as long as they remember that they're a running team. That's the secret to Vince Young's success... don't be a real QB, and they'll be fine.

true, i just have doubts Brady can do it, he looked so bad against the ravens......the defense was ok but he couldnt get the offese going.....and his last to drives.,,cmon you saw it too.....

As a Notre Dame fan, it pains me to say Quinn sucks, but he does.  By me predicting he'll have a career day with only 108 yards and a touchdown, it kinds of reiterates that point.

Either way, Sunday's game will be a sh*t show of epic proportions.  The Lions think their the best 1-8 team but Cleveland has something to say about that, lol.

What inconceivable about that prediction?  The Lions are terrible, as are the Browns, but it's not 108 yards and a TD is A LOT.

Are you picking up what I'm putting down?

It's not a question of if Jay Cutler will throw picks, the question is how many and which defensive lineman will run back one for a TD?

Brady Quinn is going to have a career day throwing for 108 yards and one touchdown in leading the Browns over the Lions.

I think the most underrated story line of this season is the coaching job Jeff Fisher has done (dead serious).  How many teams would have completely quit after that beating the Patriots put down on them?  Instead, the Titans have reeled off a bunch of wins.  Pretty impressive.

Jay Cutler on Sunday Night Football.....what could possibly go wrong?  How about 4 picks and another Bears loss?

11/19/09   |   adrisoto86   |   117 respect

i agree with all the picks except i don't see the Ravens stopping Peyton Manning. i think he'll be too much for their defense to handle.

Owner goes numbers 1, 2, and 3. Then worry about the rest after.

This is this week's Toilet Bowl. Whoever loses this game probably deserves to be contracted.

They could combine them into one team. Then they would be good enough to beat Oakland, KC, and maybe Tampa, but that's probably about it.

Jay Cutler on Sunday Night Football.  What could possibly go wrong?  I might watch with my eyes closed.

I am going with the Titans.

I thought I had faith in your picks.

Honestly... that game scares me. Both of those teams have shown the tendency to be pretty good at times... but both have been pretty freaking terrible at other times. I could really see that game going any multitude of ways.

If Russell isn't ready by now he never will be.  If Al Davis has any brain cells left he'll get rid of Russell by the end of this season...which means you'll be stuck with his awfulness for another 10 years at least.

I too am a die hard Raiders fan ! We need some serious help!!! I hope we win at least 4 games this year. Russell isn't ready to be a starting qb in the NFL maybe next year!
