Catch Up Week Is Upon Us

The traditional rivalries are starting to fire up this week before next week's full blow "Rivalry Week". I am actually going to call this week "Catch Up Week" because there are many, many games full of mismatches that those of you who have lost some money this year on College Football can catch up and get back in the black.

I went 5-0 last week, 37-23 on the season, with all but one of my "Locks" right also. So if you listened to me last week, like you should always of course, you'd have done very well last week.

So lets get to these quick picks for a very slim slate of games for Week 12.

Saturday 7:45pm ESPN - Kansas St. at Nebraska [90% of FanIQ is picking Nebraska]

The game to determine the winner of the Big 12 Suck North Division and to see which team will be slaughtered by take on Texas in the Big 12 Title Game. The Black Shirts are back at Nebraska as their defense has been among one of the best in the nation this season, the offense on the other hand hasn't been much to brag about. Kansas St. is enjoying another mini renaissance under Bill Snyder. With this game being in Lincoln, Nebraska has no excuses and should lock up the Big 12 title game berth behind another dominating performance from Ndamukong Suh. Huskers 17 Wildcats 6

Saturday 8:00pm ABC - Kansas at #3 Texas [95% of FanIQ is picking Texas]

Kansas hasn't won a game since they started 5-0 and Texas is on a mission to play for the BCS title while Colt McCoy is one win away from becoming the all time winningest starting QB in NCAA history plus it is his final home game. This one won't be close and will be over early. Longhorns 49 Jayhawks 10

Saturday 3:30pm CBS - #8 LSU at Mississippi [79% of FanIQ is picking LSU]

The only game in the SEC that is between two decent teams, and neither of them are that great. LSU has a very good defense but their offense is absimal while Ole Miss finally looked like the team we thought they would be in the preseason last week. Houston Nutt just gave the ball to Dexter McLuster and he ran wild against a very good Tennessee defense. Ole Miss crushed LSU last season 31-13  and while I think that Ole Miss will pull this one out, I think it will be a lost closer. Rebels 24 Tigers 14

Saturday 8:00pm ABC - #11 Oregon at Arizona [88% of FanIQ is picking Oregon]

Both the Ducks and Wildcats control their Rose Bowl destinies if they win out, and it starts with this game right here. Oregon needs to just win this game and next weeks Civil War game to lock up the Rose Bowl berth while Arizona needs to win their last three (Oregon, @ Arizona St., @ USC) to earn the Rose Bowl berth. Oregon hasn't been to the Rose Bowl since 1995 and have had their offense clicking on all cylinders as they have scored over 40 points in 6 of their last 7 games. Arizona has had some struggles on offense recently but their defense is very good and will have their hands full trying to slow down the Oregon attack. I think that Arizona can keep it close behind their defense but Oregon will wear them down, getting one step closer to the Rose Bowl. Ducks 31 Wildcats 21

Saturday 7:30pm Regional Coverage - #25 Cal at #17 Stanford [78% of FanIQ is picking Stanford]

"The Game". There have been classic battles between Cal and Stanford regardless of the teams record or rankings but this year, both teams are still in the thick of the wide open Pac-10 race. Stanford is coming off of a big time beatdown of USC where they whipped them on both sides of the ball in LA. Cal knocked off Arizona last week to keep their slim Rose Bowl hopes alive. Stanford is rolling on offense as they have scored 106 points in their past two games and are quite possibly the hottest team in the nation. The Bay Area will be rocking on Saturday night since the rest of the Bay Area sports scene is kind of not good right now. This will be a very good and entertaining game but the health of Jahvid Best is still in question even if he plays. Stanford wins. Cardinal 45 Golden Bears 27

Now for the "Locks of the Week"

Boise St. (-23) over Utah St.
Ohio St. (-12) over Michigan
TCU (-31) over Wyoming
Nebraska/Kansas St. UNDER 44.5
Texas (-27.5) over Kansas
Florida (-45) over Florida International
Oklahoma/Texas Tech UNDER 53.5

So there you go, picks for a not great week in terms of watching games but a good week for betting on them. Share your picks below while letting me know if you agree or disagree with mine.

HAHAHA....sorry i had to laugh at this....your main problem is your quarterback not Tressel..

It's both. Pryor probably shouldn't not have taken over as a true freshman because he wasn't ready. Sometimes this season when you watch him play, you can see he still doesn't seem ready,
On the other hand Tressel still doesn't seem to have tailored his playcalling to Pryor yet, which makes no sense because he basically redid his playbook with Troy Smith than rechanged it when Boeckman took over. Yet now with Pryor, it doesn't seem like he is playing to all of his strengths.

I am not an Ohio State fan.  However, that is somewhat true. Pyror hasn't been what Tressel and many other were hoping he would be.  That said, the kid isn't awful and is very effective when he is set loose.  Tressel just won't let him and instead has gone uber-conservative.

I've never seen a good coach mismanage a team as badly as Tressel this year.  Ohio State is better than every team they've played, but sits with two losses. Nothing would surprise me with Ohio State simply because Tressel isn't properly using his talent.

This is illogical, but I have a feeling Michigan will play Ohio State tough this weekend.  It's hard to think that since this is the worst Michigan defense I've ever seen.

I have a strange feeling it will be a 13-20 point game and close until well into the 4th.
