Week 12 of NFL action has centered on the Denver Broncos taking a trip to Foxboro to face the New England Patriots, for a nostalgic showdown between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. The two best quarterbacks over the last decade will face each other for one of the last times on Sunday, and heading into the matchup the Broncos are a surprising 2.5-point favorite over the 7-3 Patriots. Denver only has a 2-2 against the spread record when playing on the road and the oddsmakers may be overvaluing them just a bit. The total for the matchup was set at 54 points, which seem like the right number, even thought the game could easily turn into a 37-34 type of matchup.
The other big matchup of the week is the Dallas Cowboys visiting the New York Giants as a 2.5 point underdog. The Giants have won four games in a row and are right back into the NFC East Division hunt after losing their first six games of the season. The Jacksonville Jaguars are again double-digit underdogs, but have only managed to cover two spreads all year. The Jaguars on average have been 11-point underdogs all season, which actually seems like of low, compared to the 15- and 18-points spreads they have seen recently.
