Last week's FanIQ predictions were the worst of the year, only going 8-6. Mine, as usual, were no better, also at 8-6. Let's hope for a little better this week, shall we? Here are the games:

1:00 pm

Panthers at Buccaneers
FanIQ Pick: Panthers 20, Buccaneers 15
My pick: Panthers 20, Buccaneers 10
-For the second week in a row, the Panthers get a ridiculously easy opponent. And for the second week in a row, they will actually come away with a W.

Rams at Jaguars
FanIQ Pick: Jaguars 23, Rams 13
My pick: Jaguars 30, Rams 6
-Maurice Jones-Drew won't have to worry about the Jags abandoning the run game against the Rams. Once they get a 2-TD lead, that's all they'll do.

Texans at Bengals
FanIQ Pick: Bengals 24, Texans 18
My pick: Bengals 32, Texans 24
-The Bengals are for real this year, and I don't think there's any way the Texans defense will be able to slow them down. This could end up being a shootout.

Lions at Packers
FanIQ Pick: Packers 26, Lions 16
My pick: Packers 34, Lions 17
-The Lions will win a few more games this year, but probably not in their division.

Giants at Saints
FanIQ Pick: Giants 25, Saints 24
My pick: Saints 27, Giants 23
-This is by far the game of the week. The winner can lay claim to the title of the best team in the NFC, for now. The Vikings have a case as well, but the winner of this one gets my vote.

Browns at Steelers
FanIQ Pick: Steelers 27, Browns 13
My pick: Steelers 25, Browns 17
-The Browns squeaked out a win over the Bills last week, but there's no way they make it 2 in a row.

Chiefs at Redskins
FanIQ Pick: Redskins 20, Chiefs 15
My pick: Redskins 23, Chiefs 19
-If the Chiefs want to pick up a win, this is a great chance. I'm just not sure they're ready, after the heartbreaking OT loss last week.

Ravens at Vikings
FanIQ Pick: Vikings 24, Ravens 19
My pick: Vikings 27, Ravens 24
-This might be the Vikings' toughest game so far, we'll see if they're up to the task once again.

4:00 pm

Titan at Patriots
FanIQ Pick: Patriots 27, Titans 16
My pick: Patriots 31, Titans 16
-If the Titans lose this one, they'll be maybe the best 0-6 team ever.

Cardinals at Seahawks
FanIQ Pick: Cardinals 22, Seahawks 20
My pick: Seahawks 27, Cardinals 23
-If Matt Hasselbeck can continue to play like he did last week (and for years before), this team might actually be pretty good.

Eagles at Raiders
FanIQ Pick: Eagles 29, Raiders 13
My pick: Eagles 38, Raiders 10
-It's hard to look at this game without laughing. We might see a lot of Michael Vick in this one, once it starts to get really out of hand.

Bills at Jets
FanIQ Pick: Jets 25, Bills 15
My pick: Jets 30, Bills 13
-The Jets have a great chance to rebound from their rough losses to the Saints and Dolphins. The Bills are the perfect team against which to start another winning streak.

Sunday Night Football

Bears at Falcons
FanIQ Pick: Bears 22, Falcons 21
My pick: Falcons 24, Bears 20
-The Falcons get the nod from me, after seeing how they rebounded from the loss to New England and dismantled the 49ers. The Bears are solid, but the Falcons should beat them at home.

Monday Night Football

Broncos at Chargers
FanIQ Pick: Broncos 22, Chargers 21
My pick: Chargers 20, Broncos 17
-The Chargers are at home, and have had 2 weeks to prepare for this one. The Patriots showed that the Broncos CAN be beaten, even if they weren't able to close the deal. The Chargers need this one badly to stay within reach of the division lead.

Let me know where you agree, and where I went wrong.

Prediction: The Raiders will get blown out so badly by the Eagles, that the league actually takes their one win away from them.

I'm confident the Rams, Bucs and Chiefs won't let me down. The road to 0-16 continues!

On monday night it will depend on which Charger team shows up...The one that plays up to it's talent level. Or the one that has played most of this year so far.

Jaguars should beat the Rams Sunday. With or without the run.

I'm not worried about the Rams, Bucs and Chiefs letting us down. I'm just scared that the Panthers, Jaguars and Redskins might screw it up for us by somehow playing badly enough to lose. I've seen those teams... I know they're capable, and it makes me nervous.

There are a crazy number of just horrible teams in the NFL this year. Can't ever remember a year like this. Not many great teams either.

You got some bad football on with the likes of panthers v. bucs and chiefs v. redskins, but then you got some barn burners with bears v. falcons and G-men v. saints oh and the vikes v. ravens.  All in all it's football and I can't wait!!

Four winless teams and four 1-4 teams.  That is ridiculously bad.  But when a league has a head coaching turnover as often as the NFL does, that shouldn't be as much of a surprise as it is.  Aside from Jeff Fisher, who is the longest tenured coach in the NFL, all of the truly bad teams this season either have brand new coaches, or coaches that were expected to be fired a year ago, but somehow managed to keep their jobs.

And I certainly agree, the league seems to be extraordinarily bottom-heavy this year, with very few "good" teams, and a large amount of teams still in the midst of it with 2-3 or 3-2 records.

Evidently Hasselbeck's mom is in town and the Seahawks are 16-0 at Qwest when she's there. Let's hope you're right, that tradition stands, and they keep that streak alive!

They have been playing so bad I forgot they won a game.

As have I. The one game they should've won (Chargers) they didn't, and the one game they did win, they shouldn't have.  But the Raiders are bringing terrible & dysfunctional to an all new level, especially after impersonating a decent team in Week 1.

Another lesson learned: the Chiefs actually are THAT bad. 2-28 in their last 30 games, the Chiefs are quietly one of the worst teams in recent memory.

How many winless teams will get their first one after playng the Redskins? (Detroit and Carolina did) (St. Louis and Tampa Bay almost did)

It took a dysfunctional front office years to screw up the Rams this bad. Chip Rosenbloom has given a good football man in Billy  Devaney the power and authority to straighten the mess up, but he isnt a miracle worker. There  are signs of life and slow improvement if you look close enough, but it is a multi year task facing him to get them back to health.

NO NO NO  don't start picking the Bengals!  You're gonna jinx the whole thing!

The winner of the Bears/Falcons game joins the Giants, Saints and Vikings are really serious NFC teams.  Chicago needs takeaways because Matt Ryan should play really well against the Bears secondary.

I've seen a few people say that Philip Rivers and Vincent Jackson will beat the Broncos, but Jackson will probably have Champ all over him, so that sort of negates that.  If Rivers can get a lot of hookups with Antonio Gates, they might have a chance.  But that SD defense may do something that most of you outside of Denver refuse to believe, and that is make the Broncos offense look really, really good.

I remember a couple years ago that Dr. Z kept picking the Bengals all year, and they had a really bad year.  You may be on to something...

Vegas hasn't gotten a game right on them all year.  I read that they hate the Bengals out there because they always do the opposite of what they predict.

I've gotten the straight, spread and O/U correct on every Buccaneers game this year (hint: picked 'em to lose every time)...Buccaneers will beat the Panthers: 19-10

It's definitely got the makeup of a game that the Bucs could steal
