Last week, I tied the FanIQ consensus again, at 8-6 each. Not exactly an impressive showing, but it was definitely a crazy week, to say the least. Here are this week's picks... let's do better, shall we?

1:00

Patriots vs Buccaneers (in England)
FanIQ pick: Patriots 32, Buccaneers 14
My pick: Patriots 38, Buccaneers 10
-I'm sure the Glazers would love for their Bucs to make a good showing in England, where their Manchester United are so popular. But maybe that's something the Glazers should have thought about before fielding such a terrible team.

Vikings at Steelers
FanIQ pick: Steelers 24, Vikings 23
My pick: Vikings 23, Steelers 16
-If there was a way for both teams to lose this game, that would make my day. However, in the end, I just think that the Vikings will be able to get to Ben Roethlisberger too many times.

Chargers at Chiefs
FanIQ pick: Chargers 24, Chiefs 15
My pick: Chargers 24, Chiefs 17
-The Chiefs finally got their first win last week, but it might be a while before they snag their second. The Chargers should rebound nicely after their loss to the Broncos.

Packers at Browns
FanIQ pick: Packers 27, Browns 14
My pick: Packers 27, Browns 6
-Another crapfest starring the Cleveland Browns. Can someone please just euthanize their season?

49ers at Texans
FanIQ pick: 49ers 22, Texans 20
My pick: Texans 27, 49ers 24
-This is one of the toughest games to call, in my opinion. The Texans are horribly inconsistent, but they have the talent to pull off a win here. I could definitely see this one going either way. Yeah... that's me hedging my bets on this one.

Colts at Rams
FanIQ pick: Colts 33, Rams 13
My pick: Colts 400, Rams 0
-This game will be reminiscent of last week's Titans-Patriots game. Ugly.

4:00

Bears at Bengals
FanIQ pick: Bengals 21, Bears 20
My pick: Bengals 24, Bears 21
-Both teams are looking to rebound, but I just think that the Bengals are the better team, period. And they're at home, which could help as well.

Jets at Raiders
FanIQ pick: Jets 23, Raiders 16
My pick: Jets 20, Raiders 13
-The Jets are playing just about as badly as anyone, but I refuse to pick the Raiders to win. However, Nnamdi Asomugha will pick off at least one Mark Sanchez pass. Write that down.

Bills at Panthers
FanIQ pick: Panthers 20, Bills 17
My pick: Panthers 20, Bills 17
-Both teams are terrible. If you're somehow stuck watching this game, I apologize.

Saints at Dolphins
FanIQ pick: Saints 30, Dolphins 19
My pick: Saints 37, Dolphins 10
-The Dolphins have been doing unexpectedly well lately, but the Saints are just way too good. This won't end well.

Falcons at Cowboys
FanIQ Pick: Cowboys 23, Falcons 21
My pick: Falcons 30, Cowboys 24
-The Cowboys have lost every single game they've played so far against good teams. The Falcons are a good team. Need I say more?

Sunday Night Football

Cardinals at Giants
FanIQ pick: Giants 28, Cardinals 19
My pick: Giants 36, Cardinals 30
-The Giants lost pretty embarrassingly to the Saints last week, but they'll rebound this week.

Monday Night Football

Eagles at Redskins
FanIQ pick: Eagles 26, Redskins 16
My pick: Eagles 37, Redskins 9
-The Eagles looked terrible against the Raiders last week, but the Redskins were equally bad against the Chiefs. Look for the Eagles to rebound, and the Redskins to embarrass themselves once again.

Anyone else find it funny that the two teams playing in England are the Patriots (the Americans who lead the Revolution) and the Buccaneers (Pirates helped the Americans in the Revolution).

Do we really think the Artists Formerly Known As The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will score 10 points on New England?

This is a huge weekend for the Bears.  Can they beat a good team on the road?... and, Will Minnesota lose a game anytime soon?  A lot will be known about the NFC North by Sunday night.

I get stuck watching the Carolina game every week they play.

I picked the Jets to thrash the Raiders 35-20. Look for the Artist Formerly Known as JeMarcus Russell to throw 5 picks against Rex Ryan and his multiple Jets defensive packages.

Can the Bears play good in a night game?  It will start in the afternoon but it will get dark before the game is over.

I am a Lions fan, and i live in Jacksonville. Both the Lions and Jags are on bye weeks...ah, my TV will actually have NFL caliber games being played this week.
At 1:00 we get the Pats(Michigan love for Tom Brady) vs.Bucs game in London, and the Vikes @ Steelers game(Go Steelers...i dislike the Vikes.!).
And at 4:00 we get the Saints, the NFL's best at Miami(Michigan love for Chad Henne).
I hope the Jags fans here in Jax enjoy these games, as they relax on the Jags off week.
As for my fellow Lions fans, well, what can i say, at least we won one game this year.

Well you should do better this week, since denver isnt playing so you wont pick against them again.
The Colts/Rams game and the Tampa/NE have got to be the worst matchups this week. If NE can drop 59 on a decent Titan defense just think what they will try to do to Tampa.

The Cowboys have lost 2 games to teams that have combined for 11 wins and 1 loss...but by a grand total of 9 points combined.

Something tells me that the whole "they've lost to ALL good teams that they've played" argument doesn't really hold much water.

The only thing worse would be to have a team named the Rochambeaus go over there too.

Well... what good team have they beaten? Their wins are over teams that are a combined 3-14.

They didn't make the schedule. And as the Eagles displayed last week, it's better to barely win than barely lose to crummy teams.

Right... but the "they've lost to ALL good teams that they've played" statement is still very true.

Colts 400, Rams 0   - this would be funny if it weren't possible.

Right...just as true as this statement:

"The Cowboys have only lost games against elite teams. The Falcons aren't an elite team. Need I say more?"

or

"The Cowboys haven't lost a game to a team that wasn't unbeaten at the time. The Falcons aren't unbeaten. Need I say more?"

or

"The Cowboys haven't been beaten by a team that isn't ranked in the top TWO in total defense. The Falcons defense ranks 24th overall. Need I say more?"

I think the Texans will continue their L-W-L-W-L-W progression and the 49ers will help them do that.
I don't think the Chargers will make it easy in KC.  KC usually wins at least one surprise game against its better AFC West counterparts, usually in KC (witness last year's surprise win over Denver early in the season, a game they had no business winning).
And you forget one thing in sarcastically choosing the Colts to win 400-0--that may indeed be possible if Belichick were coaching the team, but we've seen time and again the Colts act just a little classier when it comes to blowing out teams, good and bad alike.  Let's modify that score to 150-0

Well, at least you have your tact to boast about.

Only against the Rams can the team be predicted to lose 400-0 and not be a typo.

Viqueens hope to get through this week without more injuries; Da Bears and Bengals should be a game worth the price of admission; Cards/Giants will also be a good game.  Home teams win each time.

"My pick: Colts 400, Rams 0"

Boy, you've got more confidence in the Rams than me!

"The Texans are horribly inconsistent, but they have the talent to pull off a win here."

The Texas are still good when they're bad, but they certainly are inconsistant. I think the decent team will show up. Texans 24-21.

The Colts could roll up 400 on the Rams, but only if Eli has Peyton on his fantasy team.

Niners haven't traditionally played well in AM games.... so I'm not expecting a lot out of them this week, or next.
