Welcome FanIQ's version of the NFL "pregame" show! This week we bring in Eddie, or you might know him as escobar1721. Eddie is a Cowboys fan and has been with the site since August of 2009, but has just recently become more active and vocal throughout the site. You might know him by his great football polls!Let's see if we agree on today's games...
Early Games:
Panthers @ Bears
Eddie: The Panthers over the Bears in an upset.Jess: I agree. I think that while the Panthers are having a rough run of things and the Bears seem to be unstoppable, both teams are due...for something.
Chargers @ Browns
Eddie: The Browns over the Chargers in an upset.Jess: I don't know, I think that the Chargers will take this game easily, even though it's in Cleveland. I won't be surprised to see them take this game convincingly.
Seahawks @ Lions
Eddie: The Lions over the Seahawks in a close one.Jess: ... by now you all know I don't pick my team's games.
Jags @ Packers
Eddie: The Packers over the Jaguars in a landslide.Jess: I don't see any reason to disagree.
Colts @ Titans
Eddie: The Colts over the Titans.Jess: I think the Titans take this one. It's in Tennessee, and the Titans and Colts always put on a good show. It should be an interesting game, but I think the Titans take it, in a close one.
Patriots @ Rams
Eddie: The Patriots over the Rams in a close one.Jess: Is this another trap game for the Pats? I don't know. That Rams defense is tough, they're at home, and they could definitely keep it close. If the Pats collapse again in the end, the Rams could pull off an upset. I think the Pats win, but I wouldn't put my money on this game.
Dolphins @ Jets
Eddie: The Dolphins over the Jets, please, the Jets are a joke.Jess: I have a feeling this game will be one of the most exciting of the weekend; I'm looking forward to seeing it on NFL Replay next week. I'm going to call the Jets in this one, by a FG.
Falcons @ Eagles
Eddie: The Falcons over the Eagles in a landslide.Jess: One of these days the Falcons are going to have a tough game that they're not able to pull off a win. I'm not saying that this is the day, but mark my words. I think they're a great team and they've found a way to win the close ones, even on the road, but I will be shocked if they go undefeated. The Eagles, however, are just a mess.
Redskins @ Steelers
Eddie: The Redskins over the Steelers in a close one.Jess: I think the Steelers take this game, but I hope I'm wrong.
Late Games:
Raiders @ Chiefs
Eddie: Taking the Chiefs over the Raiders in a close one.Jess: Agreed.
Giants @ Cowboys
Eddie: Of course taking the Cowboys over the Giants in a good one.Jess: Sweet, another great NFC East rivalry game! The Cowboys took the first game in this series, right? I think that the Giants take this one. I had them splitting at the beginning of the season, and nothing has changed my thoughts on that. I know they're in Arlington, but do they really even have a "home field advantage" at all?
Primetime:
Saints @ Broncos
Eddie: The Broncos over the Saints in a great quarterback matchup!Jess: After that fiasco against the Chargers, I don't think there's any deficit the Broncos can't overcome. I think the Broncos take this game, but it'll be another comeback win, and I agree - a great QB matchup.
MNF Bonus Pick:
49ers @ Cardinals
Eddie: 49ers over the Cardinals in a landslide!Jess: Ugh. I'm hoping for a tie. Actually I'm hoping for a Cardinals win in a landslide, but a tie would actually be better for my Hawks. I think...
Thank you for joining us today, Eddie, and good luck to you on all of your picks!

The defense. The offense may have had a bad game, the defense has had nothing but awful ones. As someone who has hated her own defense for an extremely long time, I must say I know how sh***y it is to watch such crap. Man, do I know...I don't even like the Saints, and their defense still pisses me off. I watch (and yell at) them more than I watch the offense because it's almost unbelievable; a trainwreck. I think abysmal is a good word for it.

Steve Smith fell down--wasn't his fault.

If I'm a Saints fan I don't know what depresses me more. The inconsistent offense or a defense that can't stop or slow down anybody

I jinxed the Giants defense. Cowboys have taken care of the ball in the last 2 quarters and completely dominated. Cowboys erase a 23-0 deficit and now lead 24-23

D'Angelo Hall should expect to be suspended and fined for his antics at the end of today's game. They weren't going to call anything on either he or Sanders, but he has to go mouth off to the ref. D'Angelo, you've been in the league how long? C'MON MAN!

Tony Romo has 8 interceptions in his 5 last quarters played at Texas Stadium. G-Men defense are making me look good for picking them up as a replacement for the Texans in my fantasy football league

Cam Newton just channeled his inner Jay Cutler. Pick 6 for the Bears gives Chicago the lead just a minute after trailing by 12

Just got home a bit ago. I'm of course watching the end of the early games before going to the store for hurricane supplies.

Patriots offense too good for the Rams defense to stop or the Rams offense to match. Brilliant idea for Kroenke to take his team overseas to play a team like the Patriots

COMPLETELY forgot they were in London. I change my whole mess of "analysis"....They have to travel further than the Pats do, too.

I see Eddie is a man of few words, which can only mean these are all coming through. What's the most points / yards combined by both teams in an NFL game? Im' predicting that for my Saints vs. Broncos. 61-58 as the clock runs out. Actually scratch that. There is NO WAY the Saints D holds Denver under 75 points. it'll be high scoring, but the broncos will coast down the stretch.

GO Falcons!

WoW!, I disagree with you on quite a few picks Eddie. Of course I am taking the Skins over the Steelers, but I do that every week against whatever team the Skins are playing...unless the Cowboys have some miracle play, I see them falling to the Giants. Raiders taking the Chiefs that are having a multitude of problems this year...

If this were a true "home" game, i'd agree that it would be more then likely that the Rams defense would keep it close, at least until the 2nd half comes around. However, this game is in London and the Rams have struggled bad away from the Dome in recent years.
