Holgorsen led the Mountaineers to a 10-3 record and a Big East championship, including the 70-33 onslaught over ACC foe Clemson in the Orange Bowl.
This is a big step for the WVU football program, which is set to contend for the conference title in its first season as a member of the Big 12. The Preseason USA Today Coaches Poll ranked the Mountaineers No. 11 heading into summer practice.
I've taken it a little further and said that West Virginia will win the Big 12 this year en route to an undefeated record, much in part to a favorable schedule and the return of quarterback Geno Smith.
