West Virginia vs Louisville: Thursday Night Football Thread
West Virginia Trash Burning Couch
Tonight's Big East showdown might not be as significant as predicted in August, but I wouldn't overlook its importance. West Virginia still has a reasonable shot at the BCS Title Game and at the very least must win tonight to keep pace with Connecticut for the conference title.

Despite Louisville's allergy to defense, I wouldn't count them out. The last few games in this rivalry have not disappointed. Might be more points in this game than the Bulls-Pistons first half. I drank some crazy juice before making my pick and giving the Cardinals one last hurray for respectability.

93% are going with the 'Eers

In case you were wondering if Vegas does their job well (besides, you know, seeing how much money the casinos have) it's yet another 50/50 split in predictions against the spread (15.5).

Football in West F-in Virginia. Talk it up. (who do we think Lou Holtz will pep talk this week?)

I say Lou will probably pep talk: Oregon. He will probably say something about not worrying about the BCS and trying to talk to them about a let down at UCLA this weekend.

I know but last week made sense and so did the LSU pep talk before the Kentucky game before he went away for a few weeks. If not Oregon than maybe Kansas going into Stillwater to take on THE MEN!!! and Lou tells them that just need to take it one week at a time because they can do something special this year.

I hope not.  I really like this Oregon team and watching Dennis Dixon.

Is West Virginia now sponsored by Nike because those jerseys are gross, especially in HD.

Lou is pretty bad at the Mike Gundy "THAT'S NOT TRUE!" impression on his pep talk.

I'm going to go ahead and predict at least 35 points this half.

That would be great... if Oregon played another team this week (bye week). Wishful thinking, I imagine, since the Sooners need some help to move up.

Kinda half wishful thinking and kinda there were really only two teams that could get it this week.

Yea, kind of surprising that he picked Oklahoma St though. They really didn't need it but I guess he is trying to help keep Kansas unbeaten since he is pretty good at giving pep talks to teams that loose.

That's the beauty of college football -- you have to "bring it" every week, except when you're not playing. LOL

Maybe they should run with a guy who didn't run out to play offense after his team scored a touchdown.

How come no one ever talk about how Slaton fumbles a lot? Is it just me because it seems like he always has fumble problems against better teams.

Had they been playing in a silo, that ball would have been gone.
