Outside of New England, I have to believe this was the general reaction when learning Curt Schilling's no-hit bid fell short.
Only Mr. 38pitches could be criticized following a 1-hitter. Most headlines this morning read "Curt Blows No-Hitter," and many more calling him out for blowing Varitek off on that last pitch.
I'm not a big Schilling fan myself, but I probably like him more than most. Watching him toss a no-hitter would have been fun, reading about it today would not.
If you're watching a pitcher throw a no-hitter against your team and he's just an out away. Are you rooting to witness history or for it to be broken up?
