What Tanking? Sixers Now 3-0
The Philadelphia 76ers may not have to tank this year to get a good draft pick for next year because they already have a good draft pick this year. Rookie Michael Carter-Williams is taking the league by storm. After flirting with a quadruple-double in his NBA debut against the Miami Heat, MCW proved that game 1 was not a fluke. MCW posted 26 points and 10 assists in his 3rd game against former MVP Derrick Rose. Clearly, Michael Carter-Williams and the 76ers are not afraid of anyone.
"Coach gives me a lot of confidence out there," Carter-Williams said. "I'm able to play freely and I just try to make things happen within the team. I try to do my job out there and get all my teammates involved. They did a great job. And when they do a great job, it makes me look good."
The Sixers were supposed to be the leading candidates for the “Riggin for Wiggins” campaign, but they are putting all the NBA conspiracy theories to rest by proving all the naysayers wrong. The Sixers don’t want to wait until next year to win; they want to win now.
"We understand what everybody has said and written about us," coach Brett Brown said. "Our guys have put in the day-to-day stuff, which has always been our message. I'm lucky I've found a group that enjoys each other's company and they enjoy playing together."
