No Cubs.
You can say what you want about the 2008 MLB Season. You could talk about the Yankees failure or key acquistions like Manny Ramirez and C.C. Sabathia, or the great All Star gathering for the final time at Yankee Stadium that took 15 innings (4 hours and 50 minutes) to play. The only thing for sure really is the best is yet to come.
Which raises interesting questions about what is about to unfold this October. Who will win this thing? Cubs fans claim this is the year and it was meant to be and continue to insist this is the year they finally come out of hibernation. And after exactly 100 years, wouldn't it be something?
Not going to happen. They should get past Los Angeles and more than likely will but if they are lucky enough to not find a way to blow it in the NLCS, they certainly will blow it in the World Series. This is not a fairy tale, Cubs fans. This is reality. As nice as it would be for it to happen this year, it just isn't going to happen.
Heres how I see it unfolding
Angels over the Red Sox
Rays over the White Sox
Rays over the Angels
Cubs over the Dodgers
Phillies over the Brewers
Phillies over the Cubs
Phillies versus Rays in World Series
