-A quick look at the starting grid for this weekend's 3M Performance 400 presented by Bondo:
- Brian Vickers wins the poll, First Cup pole for Red Bull Racing
- Elliott Sadler, Patrick Carpentier, David Reutimann, Regan Smith, and Scott Riggs surprised everybody with their runs. Each of these drivers will be starting in the top 10.
- Brad Coleman will make his Sprint Cup debut, but will start in last place.
- Other surprises throughout the lineup include: Edwards-27th, Hamlin-37th, Harvick-38th, Bowyer-41st
- Only 2 Ford’s are starting in the top 15. Usually Ford is the favorite to win at Michigan, but if qualifying shows anything, they might have a tough time on Sunday
-Q&A with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Jr. sits down and talks with Greg Engle about his chances of following up his Michigan victory in June with another one this weekend. He also looks back at NASCAR in the 60s & 70s and compares them to today.
-Still questioning Stewart and Newman’s chances with Stewart-Haas Racing in 2009? Greg Biffle is confident it will work out just fine: "They'll both bring a lot of information to the table, I think, and they'll both bring a lot of good people, and being in the equipment that they're gonna be in -- with Hendrick power and chassis and information and what-not -- I think they're gonna be in great shape. I think they'll run really well."
-'09 swap: The 2009 Sprint Cup Schedule is rumored to be released sometime next week. No changes in regard to tracks on the curcuit, but you can expect a 3 race swap between Atlanta, Talladega, and California.
