Knowing Al Davis he will certainly make another effort to hire Art Shell.  Maybe three times is the charm.  I wonder if he's been in contact with Jets assistant coach Bill Callahan to try that out again?  Even John Madden wouldn't unretire to come and coach in Davis's world of no cluesville.  Matt Millen for GM?

It will either be Rob Ryan or James Lofton, Lane will probably be fired after this week since they will be going into the bye week.

Here is something to think about, if Davis does not fire him within the next two weeks then he will not fire him till the end of the year.

What reasons?

Well there are two. He wants to make him quit so he could weasel out of paying him, ask Mike Shanahan about that. Also he does not want Lane to land a decent college job. So he fire him after the season when a lot of good jobs have been filled.
