Who'll Stop The Rain

The weather got us last night in Cincinnati, but due to the fact that the Padres and Reds will have to play a double header today to make it up, we should be okay.  We have to keep a close eye on things though.  While it would seem normal and natural that the pitching matchup scheduled for last night should be the pairing for Game 1 this afternoon, things could change.  Check the lineups before acting.

THE SHOW  (2-1 yesterday and 8-7 so far for the week)

BUTTA  (no play yesterday and 2-1 so far for the week)
1.  REDS (CUETO -140) over Padres (Kennedy) - The reasons for making this play haven't changed from yesterday.  As stated, though, we're going to need to ensure that this is the actual pitching matchup for Game 1.  It's what is being shown, with Tyson Ross vs. Alfredo Simon for Game 2.  However, it's entirely possible that things could get jumbled up.  Whatever the case, and no matter the mound opponent, we'll want to move on the game in which Cueto starts.
2.  BREWERS (GALLARDO -150) over Pirates (Rodriguez) - Here's a spot that I love to capitalize on:  The home team, with their ace taking the bump, go for the series win in the rubber game.  It also doesn't hurt the cause that Gallardo, who got bombed by the Bucs the last time he faced them, is still 11-3 lifetime against Pittsburgh.

GIANTS (CAIN -145) over Marlins (Eovaldi) - The Fish got off the mat with a resounding road win last night in L.A., but I don't think it's sustainable against a team like the Giants.  I guess I could go ahead and make this play and feel good about it, but Matt Cain just isn't a guy I trust much anymore.

RUN LINES  (5-8 ATS/5-7 SU/7-6 TOTALS yesterday and 26-27/24-28/26-27 so far for the week)
Indians (+1 1/2, O9 1/2) Padres
JAYS REDS (-1 1/2, U7 1/2)
Red Sox Pirates (+1 1/2, U8)
TWINS (+1 1/2, O8) BREWERS
Orioles (+1 1/2, U7) Cubs (+1 1/2, O7)
Rays (+1 1/2, U8 1/2) Marlins
ANGELS GIANTS (-1 1/2, O7)
  Yankees (+1 1/2, U8)

---There are no games that fall under BROOMOLOGY for today right now, but there could be one if the Padres win Game 1 of today's twin bill.

THE NBA  (1-1 ATS/2-0 SU/0-2 TOTALS last night and 3-5/4-4/2-6 so far for the week)
There's nothing looking worthwhile to me in either of tonight's games.  We can't trust the Pacers, and the Wiz have not been a dominant force at home this season.  And the Clippers/Thunder matchup looks like a steel cage death match.
Pacers (+4 1/2, U180 1/2)        85 Thunder 102
WIZARDS 88 CLIPPERS (-5, U211 1/2) 108

I'm not real sure why things didn't work when trying to get yesterday's post out.  Hopefully, things will work better today, but we won't know that till I hit "SEND".  Have a great day.  I'll see you tomorrow.
