Will David Reutimann forget and forgive Denny Hamlin?
It’s got to be hard for him to let all that anger go after all Hamlin did put a nail on David’s Chase hopes.
Pocono was a disaster for this Michael Waltrip Racing team.
The hope for a Chase spot is history for the No. 00. It’s over.
Will Reutimann take the high road, or will he wait until Loudon to get his payback?
Here is a quote from David Reutimann:
“We can talk about it and I can get his take on it," Reutimann said. "If he tells me he made a mistake and he's sorry, then that's the way it is. It doesn't make you less aggravated or anything like that."
So, I guess David is saying, I don’t care if he apologizes or not!
Lets be honest folks: An apology means nothing at this point.
After working so hard all year as all drivers and teams do, and having one careless act erase the opportunity at a championship, we all most agree, not one of us would be in a forgiving mood .
Hamlin did punt Reutimann. There is no discussion needed on that subject—one just needs to look at the replay.
I hope David can forget and forgive, but I would not blame him if he evens the score.
I do understand Hamlin was racing with lots of emotion because of his loss, and we all can understand that.
I would personally give him a pass because of it, but then again, I don’t have the responsibility to produce good results from Michael Waltrip Racing's multi-million-dollar investment.
It would be nice for David Reutimann to bounce back, but he is just not a good road course driver. The Glen will painfully drive the last nail on his season.
