Will LeBron James Ever Silence His Critics?

6/9/12 in NBA   |   Anthony_Raia   |   37 respect

On Thursday night LeBron James finally showed up big against the Boston Celtics with his team's season on the line. It seemed like James never missed, en route to 45 points in the Heat's 98-79 Game 6 victory. LeBron added fifteen rebounds in one of his most dominant performances since scoring 29 of the games last 30 points in 2007 against Detroit. As good as LeBron was the other night, he still has not silenced his critics, and will he ever?

It is no secret that James is public enemy number one in whatever arena he plays in that is not located in South Beach. James has only himself to blame for that. The target started out small when James came into the league out of high school with nicknames of "King James" and "The Chosen One". That target grew bigger when he bolted Cleveland to team up with Dwayne Wade to chase a championship, something he said he would never do. It continued to grow when James decided to turn his free agency into a prime time production and guarantee seven championships.

LeBron is the greatest player since Michael Jordan and we probably will not see another one like him. However those critics will remain until he wins more than one championship, and even then no matter what he does might not be good enough.
