As a Jets fan I was not thrilled when the Jets traded for the golden child, Timmy Tebow, in the off season. It was too big of a distraction for a team that already had enough issues. However, the odds are greatly stacked against the Jets as they go up against a very good, 4-0 Houston Texans team and the Jets are running out of answers on offense. The Jets running game is basically nonexistent and with Santonio Holmes, Stephen Hill, and Dustin Keller all sitting out Sanchez doesn’t really have many options to throw to. At this point, Tebow’s abilities might be the Jets best offensive weapon.
We saw what Tim Tebow was able to do for the Broncos. He crushed the hearts of many opposing team’s fans in the 4th quarter (including Jets fans). I am not going to say that Tim Tebow is the Jets messiah (I am not Skip Bayless), but he probably gives the Jets the best chance at salvaging an offense that is one injury away from calling in Terrell Owens for a workout.
The Jets really have nothing to lose by putting in Tebow. If worse comes to worse, we will at least get in a good Tebow chant and get to watch a riveting Bayless and Stephen A. Smith Tebow debate on Tuesday.

"You better not!" Oops...forgot I'm a role model for some of these "kids". ;-) I promise I won't break the CoC!

"Where is everyone tonight?" I sent them all to bed early so the old lady can do whatever she wants in the sports bars!!!

I know the Texans are still not a big draw on a national level, but I would've thought the potential Tebow sighting/Jets' trainwreck rubbernecking would attract a bigger "crowd".

Rest easy, though, Jess. From the looks of this thread, no one will notice if I do. Oh well...

GO TEXANS! (Moral support for my Texans fan friends, and J-Fors)
I kept getting confused during ESPN's pregame show. Come to find out, this is a one-on-one game between Tebow and Sanchez. Who knew?

And I thought I was sick of hearing the name "Tim Tebow" when he was in college.

That was a completely different Texans' defense that Tebow beat in 2010...different defensive coordinator and many different players. However, Tebow coming in during this game concerns me in that there is "not a lot on film" of him with the Jets...the "unknown" is what makes me a little nervous.

One thing is for sure, something will be afoot tonight ;)

Lest you forget, it was the Houston Texan's that lost to Timmy on his first win in the NFL. The Texans are leery of Tebow, because they know he brings a style of play to the game that's hard to defend over a period of time. You may stop him once, or twice, or three times, but eventually he'll get you. So, if they play Tebow a lot against Houston, Jets win. I'll say 28 Jets, 24 Texans. How's that for predicting? :)
