llegedly involved in the attack on Wisconsin running back Montee Ball have been arrested and are in custody, reports the Associated Press.The three suspects, all 21-years-old, are students at the university and are being charged with substantial battery crimes after Ball sustained a concussion and bruised jaw.
Although there is no evidence, police are still investigating whether the attack was a direct result of an altercation Ball was in during a house party a few days earlier.
Ball finished his junior season with 2,229 all-purpose yards and tied Barry Sanders' NCAA record with 39 total touchdowns. He is expected to start the season opener against Northern Iowa this Saturday.

I found it hilarious after the incident that people were actually suggesting that none of the attackers would have known Ball and that it could have been a random attack. I know Madison is a very good size campus, however do people really think that three students their or even three non-students wouldn't know the star of the team and possible heisman finalist just from his press clippings during his career?
