Ball was attacked by a group of five men during an early morning incident last week, where he was kicked in the head numerous times. He sustained a concussion and other minor injuries, and was released from the hospital after two hours.
Coach Bret Bielema does not know whether his star player will be ready for the season-opener against Northern Iowa on September 1, but my guess is that he will not rush anything thanks to a loaded backfield.
Ball, who broke the NCAA record with 33 rushing touchdowns last season, is expected to make another Heisman run this upcoming fall behind yet another stout Badgers offensive line.
