Being from the great city of Chicago and a die hard Chicago fan, I was very pleased to see the Colts go down. I mean they are well-coached and Peyton is a very, very good quarterback. I won't take that from either of them, but they made the Bears look foolish in the Super Bowl last year and well, down with the Colts! I feel for Marvis Harrison. He was struggling with life yesterday. I know that was his first game back in awhile, but man he was ugly. Also, congrats to Peyton for not being able to get his offense going against a team that was missing their most crucial offensive weapons. They had the entire fourth quarter without LT and then Rivers went down. How can you not take advantage of that? Upset 1.
Ah well it looks like Eli is in the spotlight now people. After being given the short end of the stick in, well, genetics, Eli has outshined his big brother. No more red headed step child jokes for him. Peyton is on a flight back home and Eli is off to Green Bay to try and win his third game in the post season. Now with Dallas losing, the real question is will they find some way to blow smoke up Romo's butt and find something that he did right in the game? Or will the media pay more attention to who the quarterback is dating. Carrie Underwood? Jessica Simpson? Honestly, I think more people are making fun of the fact that people actually care than anything else. "Oh Romo played the worst game of his life b/c Simpson was in the stands." Oh gimme a break. Did Romo see Simpson running to him through an open field when he decided to throw the ball right into the hands of New York's McQuarters? I mean Romo plays awful and gets some credit, Rex Grossman plays awesome and everyone thinks it's pure luck (as do I) but let's be fair here. I'm glad Dallas lost b/c I do not want to hear anything more about Romo. Period. Oh Terrell...way to be dramatic and cry. The lip quiver was a nice touch. Upset 2.
The one problem that I have with New York beating Dallas is I don't think they are good enough to beat the Packers in Green Bay. The Packers' running game is better than the Giants. Hopefully the weather will be bad so Farve can blame that when they lose just like when the green and gold lost at Soldier Field. I'm giving the Giants some credit, because the Packers got swept by the Bears, including that blowout game in Chicago, and to be honest, the Bears were god awful this year.
