Yadier Molina Collision With Eric Bruntlett [MLB Walk-Off]
That's Going To Leave A Mark

Yadier Molina may have been knocked out, but Eric Bruntlett was tagged out.

This play essentially defined these two team's seasons to date. St. Louis has taken blow after blow, yet has somehow held it together to lay claim to the 4th best record in baseball. The Philadelphia Phillies have dealt their fair share of offensive blows, currently leading the East, but still struggle to hammer in those extra hits when needed. Philly left the bases loaded four times Sunday.

Somehow Molina maintained his grasp on the ball after this collision which resulted in a concussion. After leaving on a stretcher you'll take that as a win and hope he returns to the field in due time.

Chris Duncan, who was called up in Pujols' absence, "drove" in the winning run in 10 innings as Tom Gordon couldn't quite execute a toss to first base. Cardinals 7, Phillies 6

No One Messes With DeJesus, Man It's not a great sign for the National League that the Kansas City Royals put up 20 runs in two days against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Randy Johnson was torched on Saturday, Micah Owings took a similar beating yesterday with David DeJesus driving in five runs. Royals 8, Dbacks 3

The Other Tigers Excel Over the Weekend Clayton Kershaw was dealing - just 2 hits in 4 innings - but then a 47-minute rainstorm dealt its hand and the game changed. Jim Leyland left his starter, Nate Robertson, in the game and the Tigers picked apart Chan Ho Park (doesn't everyone?) in Kershaw's absence. It was nearly another classic Tigers loss as a 5-0 lead dwindled to 5-4 in the top of the 9th, but instead Detroit will leave town with their heads high after six straight wins and the Giants are up next. Tigers 5, Dodgers 4

Willie-Nilly Mets manager Willie Randolph may be safe for now, but it's doubtful two of his coaches last longer than this afternoon. Rick Peterson and Tom Nieto are expected to be used as fodder to light a fire under this talented team that just can't keep it together.
