Yankees Fans Boo The Sun [MLB Walk-Off]
Alex Rodriguez Shouldn't Feel So Bad Anymore

It's been a little hot in New York lately. Not on the field, of course, but temperatures have been well into the 90's and approached 100 on Monday afternoon in much of the East.

You'd think this would be a welcome sight on June 9th after a rough winter. Not for Yankees fans who've booed Joe Torre after winning four World Series titles and Alex Rodriguez throughout his MVP campaign.

Yes, Yankees fans booed the sun.
Fans showed their approval when a cloud moved in front of the sun during the fifth inning of the Yankees-Royals game. They booed moments later when the sun returned.
That's right, the sun, which provides us life, was booed in the Bronx. If you weren't sold on the Evil Empire moniker just yet, this sealed the deal. I don't believe they'll ever top this.

The sun wasn't the only participant booed, Mariano Rivera got a healthy dose of venom when he gave up a 9th inning home run to Jose Guillen who had a tremendous series in New York.

Royals 3, Yankees 2

The Natural 600 We touched on this last night, but Ken Griffey Jr. is without a doubt the best true home run hitter of our era. Unfortunately, his milestone blast had to happen in South Florida, but most baseball fans will be applauding for years. Reds 9, Marlins 4

Sox, Swisher Still Streaking You think Ozzie Guillen will blow up when the White Sox lose again? Test his luck? At this rate, they might not lose again. Nick Swisher hit one out from the right and left side Monday, slowly sneaking that batting average up to .228. White Sox 7, Twins 5

Defeat Train Dontrelle Willis is terrible. In fact, he's way worse than Barry Zito. Monday night, he accomplished a rare feat: giving up 8 runs on just 3 hits. Detroit couldn't make up for those early runs from Cleveland and falls to 11 games below .500 with the White Sox coming to town. Indians 8, Tigers 2

I'm not really that impressed. Philly fans would have shot the sun.
