This video has apparently been out for a few weeks, but that's news to me, and apparently to most people on the internet judging by YouTube's view counter.
Anyway, it's Yao Ming at the Beijing Olympic closing ceremonies doing what every athlete does at Olympic closing ceremonies. Get drunk with Canadians.
Apparently Canadian curler Geoff Kabush challenged Yao to a beer chugging contest. I'll let Kabush explain.
After declining my first offer Yao took a beer, then a second.....and of course it was all about who can down beer the fastest in the spirit of Olympic competition.
I'm glad to see that the competitive fire in athletes extends to drinking games as well - even if it involves Molson Ice. If only they'd add events like this to the Games, I'm positive it would boost the US medal count. And as for Yao, I apparently had him figured all wrong. I thought he was a pretty unemotional, lifeless dude. No sir. Next time I'm in Shanghai, I'm totally partying with Yao.
