Good morning, everybody.
Now, I'm not going to lie, I don't know much about college basketball. I'm an NBA guy. But I know this much, Saturday is always the day for college hoopage. And I also need to start doing some homework for the NCAA Tournament.
Let's see what we got on tap today. Then I'll drop my knowledge on you.
College men's basketball: Marquette at Notre Dame, ESPN, noon; Boston College at Duke, CBS, 1 p.m.; Iowa at Minnesota, ESPN, 2 p.m.; Southern at Grambling State, ESPN2, 2 p.m.; Texas at Iowa State, Southern California at Washington State or Virginia at Wake Forest, ABC, 3:30 p.m.; Georgia Tech at Connecticut, ESPN, 4 p.m.; Hampton at Delaware State, ESPN2, 4 p.m.; Oklahoma State at Kansas State, ESPN, 6 p.m.; Hawaii at Nevada, ESPN2, 6 p.m.; Cincinnati at Rutgers, ESPN Classic, 6 p.m.; Georgetown at Louisville, ESPN, 9 p.m.
Games to watch here would be, uh, I'm not 100% sure. I know Marquette and ND are both ranked, so we should get a good game there.
I'm going to check out the Duke game because the Blue Devils reminded us of how good they are by beating North Carolina (even though they had no Ty Lawson). I'll naturally be rooting for BC to kill them, even though it won't happen.
I'm also going to check out the USC/Wash St. game just to see how many shots OJ Mayo jacks up. One game I'd like to see him totally ignore his teammates and just take every shot. He more or less does that already.
That G-Town/Louisville game has some potential. Why? Because I say so.
Also worth checking out Super Frosh Mike Beasley today. Man talks a big game and backs it up. I wonder if he guaranteed a win over Oklahoma State today. I'm going to just pretend that he did.
And lastly, how about that Southern/Grambling game? Um, what?
All right ever
