Yunel Escobar has been known for flashy defensive plays for a while now, but this one might be the best I've seen all year from a shortstop.

Escobar ranged to his left to snag a ground ball off the bat of Dustin Pedroia, flipped the ball behind his back to Ben Zobrist's throwing hand, and Zobrist was able to throw to first and complete the double play.

You just can't say enough about how impressive this play was. It's hard enough to shovel the ball to someone without even trying to go behind the back. Escobar, however, took it to a whole new level. He flipped it behind his back with the glove, hit Ben Zobrist's throwing hand in stride, and made it as easy as possible for Zobrist to complete the twin killing.
