Originally, it was thought that Zach Greinke would be out around six weeks due to his broken collarbone, but it will actually be more like two months.
The Los Angeles Dodgers tweeted the news to fans on Friday afternoon, stating:
Zack Greinke will undergo surgery to stabilize his left clavicle tomorrow. Greinke's expected return is eight weeks.— Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) April 12, 2013
Still, the lucky part is that it's his non-pitching arm which was broken, but since it's such an important area, especially for a pitcher, his recovery will be a long one.
MLB still hasn't handed down punishment to Carlos Quentin.
