Zach Parise looking forward to the match against former team
Parise said that time really flew when and when he first saw the schedule and thought there was time left to play the game against the Devils, he didn’t know it would be this fast. Still, he said he wanted to play the game and was actually looking forward to enjoying it.
"I've been excited to come back here to play, but it was one of those things, you look at the schedule in October and you're like, 'Ah, we're not going there until March, I've got a lot of time until then,'" Parise said.
Parise said that he didn’t feel the time go on so fast but when it came to play the game he expected it to come.
"Then it's December and you're still like, 'I've got a couple of months.' But then the Olympics came and went and you're like, 'Oh my gosh, we're going there in five games,'” he said. “It really snuck up on me, but I've been looking forward to it. It's going to be fun."
The Minnesota Wild have suited Parise well and he said he was really happy with how things were turning out for him, adding that the trade between the teams went well along with the transition.
"I love where I'm at," Parise said. "We couldn't be happier with how things are going right now. Everything worked out."
