Zack Greinke will be traded by the Milwaukee Brewers

Zack Greinke could be the difference-maker on a contender... but which one?

Blog Photo - Zack Greinke will be traded by the Milwaukee BrewersMilwaukee Brewers GM Doug Melvin has pretty much admitted that ace Zack Greinke is on his way out of town. The Brewers are 14 games out of 1st place in the NL Central, and 10 games out of the 2nd wild card spot.

It was unlikely that they'd be able to sign Greinke to an extension after this season, since Greinke will probably fetch a huge contract once he hits free agency after this season, so now is the Brewers' only chance to get some in return for him.

Greinke is scheduled to start on Sunday, but he'll probably be skipped, if he's even in a Brewers uniform that long. Either he'll be gone by then, or the team will be in the midst of serious trade negotiations, and won't be able to risk injury by letting him start.

The Rangers and Angels are two teams that are rumored to be most interested in Greinke's services, but there will definitely be other teams that give Melvin and the Brewers a call about the former AL Cy Young winner.

Where do you think Greinke should end up?

Me too. I would take him in a heartbeat. I think the key is if can be resigned for a long term deal. I would gladly give up Delgado,Tehran, and Pastornicky.Any combination of the the 3.All 3 have great potental but are unproven. They may never pan out. I think getting a young ,former Cy Young winner is worth the gamble.
