Mets against the Brewers. Looks good at home; Go Mets!
respect
Good game the Met won. I will not lie, they had me worried. Go out and do it again tomorrow.

damn Hart singles Braun score 3-1 Mets. This cannot happen, no way will the Mets give up the lead.
respect
Come now we gave a up single to Braun. Lets go Francisco, now Braun is on second one down. Lets not let this game go.

No way should they rush Wheeler or Harvey up to the big leagues. Wheeler isn't even in Triple A yet, he's with Double A, and his numbers have been pretty good. As for Harvey, he's close. Probably a call up when rosters expand, but NOT right now. He hasn't been dominant down in Triple A either. Gotta give em some time to mature and fine tune their stuff.
Are you kidding, with the choices they have to pick from right now there is no reason why they should not take a chance on both of those pitchers. Wheeler would start and Harvey you send to the pen.

Niese, Santana, and Pelfrey should have at least 3-4 wins more than they do thanks to that powder keg we call a bullpen that Sandy Alderson supposedly went out to improve upon. Why the hell didn't we re-sign K-Rod this winter?
And look at that K-Rod is 0-3 with an ERA over 5.

There you go you got one out for the 2nd out of the inning. Now lets get the third.

Bring up Harvey, who has been a beast in the minors. Might as well give him and Wheeler a taste of the show so they will know what to expect when they are up here full time next year.

Sure he he the issue, how do you continue ot bring in Acosta, who has given more keys hits and walks this year then I can count. I agree Hefner should get a shot, and whose choice is that. COLLINS again. Pelfrey is one pitcher and him being out is the not problem, the middle reliefs are giving up to many keys hits and walks. No one besides Batista they Mets could bring up Zach Wheeler, and give him a shot. It would not be any worse then what the Mets are doing now. They also have Matt Havery, so the Mets have options other then Batista and Acosta.
He has no other choice then to go with Acosta. He has Byrdak for lefties, Carrasco as a long reliever who just came back from an injury, Rauch for the 8th, Francisco for the 9th. It was either the veteran Acosta or Parnell. Don't think Terry really trusted Parnell in that spot. And bringing up Hefner would be Sandy Alderson's call, NOT Terry Collins'.

Batista I have to give it to him, he pitched well. To bad he cannot do that on a more regular basis.

K-Rod? Noooo. I think Mets fans had enough of that. Ramirez, Rauch, and Francisco were always proven relievers. Things just haven't clicked yet. I do think they'll be better though.

Come on Davis, I am glad you moved the runner over but we need hits from you.

Great hitting Murphy, now it is time for Davis to drive him in. We need Davis to start hitting. not once in awhile but every game.

C'mon, Mets ... Redeem yourselves from your last blown game!!! I miss the good old days when starters had the stamina to pitch nine innings and you didn't have to go to the bullpen in the sixth inning "just because".
Tell me about it at least 7 or 8 innings of good pitching instead of saying it was a good outing because of 5 and half inning pitched.

The Mets have been playing great. It's just the bullpen that's been the problem. Mets could easily be 21-13 if not for the bullpen blowing leads.
I agree and the manager is responsable for which pitcher he uses late in games. Please do not tell me you would have gone with Acosta, not onlt last night, but in some of the other games.

to DatNY I just realize anthony said the same thing about bringing up other players, I did not read his comments first. I was not trying to repeat others on here. The Mets have Rauch who has done well this year, use him. Lets see what Carrasco can do, he has only been in two games. Has to be just as good as Acosta. As for Collins I did not like the job he is in Houston or Anaheim.

Fire Terry Collins? Terry is NOT the problem... Mets don't have much depth. Schwinden filled in, struggled, and now Batista is back in the rotation. I'd like to see Jeremy Hefner get a shot, but with Pelfrey injured, there really is no other replacement besides Batista.

Come on fire Terry Colins, are you really trying to tell me we have no one in the minors who can pitch. Batista is better then Acosta but some of the fans here are right the MEts better score 10, or be damn perfect on defense.
