Just read a report on Yahoo Sports: Manti Te'o of Notre Dame to play through grief after deaths of grandmother and girlfriend. Te'o will be playing this game with a heavy heart; in a 24 hour span, he lost his grandmother to a stroke and his girlfriend to leukemia. And would you believe at the end of the article, in the comments section, there are some inconsiderate jack*ffs who make fun of him for it? Gotta be Michigan State fans hoping that this great player won't be in the right frame of mind come Saturday night. I am hoping that he puts on a performance reminiscent of Brett Favre (National TV Spotlight, huge emotional trauma to deal with before a huge game, big-time rival) and gives us all a performance so awe-inspiring and jaw-dropping that we never forget the game he plays Saturday night for as long as we live in a Notre Dame Fighting Irish Win.
It is soooooo good to be right. Especially when it results in a Notre Dame win.

Te'o, a 6-2, 255-pound All-American, is a one-man, sideline-to-sideline wrecking crew.
Te'o had 12 tackles in last year's victory in South Bend, helping Notre Dame limit Michigan State to 29 yards rushing and one rushing first down.
GO IRISH !!

had another 12 in this game, monster game from the best linebacker in the game today; he's so good, the pundits are talking him up for Heisman Trophy already. On top of last night's performance: 12 tackles, two pass breakups, fumble recovery, sack; I'd say barring injury or a bad loss to a non-ranked team, Te'O gets it with a little help in the sympathy department. And deserves it solely for his play on the field. As I predicted, Brett Favresque-type performance in using tragedy to have a monster game.

Irish are now 3-0 to start the season, and the ONLY school to start the season with 3 rivalry games instead of the usual cupcakes like FAMU, Texas Southwestern, Helen Keller Institute for Blind, Deaf, and Mute, Christopher Reeve School for Quadraplegics, etc....

how about this stupid play that cost ND and Charlie Weis at least 3-4 years of quality recruiting because Pac-10 officials cheated and didn't call the penalty against Bush for pushing Leinart into the end zone (ND goes to Championship game, and that helps Weis recruit with knowledge of NFL offenses and ability to get ND to championship game, win or lose). http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=a3MU16fpue4

Golson needs to continue to make good reads and spread the ball to the receiving corps. He has put up good numbers and needs to stay confident... Stay within the offense

Welcome back Cierre Wood... hopefully two games off has "made his mind right" and he can jump start the running game. O-line must contain William Gholston and a defense that has not allowed a TD in the first two games

Notre Dame led all 120 FBS programs with a 97 percent graduation rate. The GSR measures the success of students who enrolled from 2001-2004. The FBS average was 67 percent.
The GSR includes incoming transfers and students who enrolled in school in the spring. The players have to have received athletic aid and graduated. Those who left programs, but were academically eligible to compete, are not included.
1. 97 percent: Notre Dame
2. 94: Northwestern
3. 93: Boston College, Duke and Rice
6. 91: U.S. Naval Academy
7. 89: Rutgers
8. 88: U.S. Military Academy, Miami (Fla.)
10. 87: Penn State and Stanford

Michigan State wins at home, rushing the Irish to the ACC!!!
ACC still a better football and Basketball conference than Big 10 (which now has 12 teams and isn't to be confused with THE BIG 12, which now only has 10 teams). Hmmmmm. Since ND will still be independent and gets rest of its sports programs a much better conference for visibility, I am ok with it. So long as ND doesn't join in football too.

If Purdue can take Notre Dame down to the wire in South Bend, I see no reason why Sparty can't beat them in East Lansing.
ND dominates. Unless, of course, the Big 10 officials calling the game tries to make it close by giving ND 2x more penalties to help MichSt.

This year Notre Dame plants their flag in Michigan State's field!!!! Go Irish Beat Sparty!!!

Spartans are going to be beaten like ND used to do it back in the day--Michigan State will wish it was the Bob Davie era of Notre Dame when we are done with them.

They might stop Bell but they won't be able to stop Maxwell too. Sparty carries a double edged sword. Go Green!
