IMO, the statement released by the NFL is just their way of covering their butt while refusing to deal with the bigger issue at hand. They throw a bone to the Packers by saying their should've been PI call. They throw a bone to the Seahawks by saying the final score stands and they throw a bone to the replacement officials by saying that they stand by the officials call. In the end, the NFL refuses to address the major problem that these officials are ruining the integrity of the game. The same integrity of the game that the owners and the commissioners office goes crazy over when a player like RG3 covers up a Nike symbol on his shirt or when a player wears a different sports hat that isnt regulated by the league. That is what annoys me most about how far this has gotten out of control
I agree with you 100%, when I read the results I knew they were av oiding the real problem. It's sad thinking that teams may not make it to the playoffs , not to mention how bad this is affecting their stats. I do not understand how a billion dollar corp. could allow this to happen iin the first place. Who cares if the Regular officials want to keep their regular jobs in addition to being Refs. It's worked for years and the Teams do not suffer because of it. This is just insane and extremely upsetting. I wish the teams would strike till the real Refs are back but I'm sure there are rules against that as well. :(

They did admit to the offensive pass interference but said that was not flagged so therefore there was no reviewable video. Technically , had the refs flagged the offensive pass interference the game would have ended with the score 12-7 Packers.

The NFL was never going to overturn that call. Why? That would require them to admit that their was a mistake made in the first place, something Goodell's arrogance will never allow them to do.

and another reason..THERE WERE SOOOOOOO MANY BAD CALLS THIS WEEKEND....YOU WOULD HONESTLY HAVE TO GO BACK AND CHANGE THEM ALL......AND THAT WAS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN..WHATS DONE IS DONE......AND WITH THESE REPLACEMENT REFS..IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN AND AGAIN...........

That is total BS!! I agree...which d*mn call and WTF EVER!! Any football fan could be a referee and a fair one! NFL best do something FAST or lose viewers....IF they even care about us!!
I know but trust me the only care the NFL has for the fans is taking their money. .Not a damn thing we can do about it except to try and forget this happened.."which we know we won't forget"...The Packers are handling it well as far as the public can see. The Seahawks will get bit in the ass at some point during the season and we can glow in that glory.

I went on the NFL network prior to coming here today and I am glad to see that the Hail Mary will be reviewed by the NFL. The score most likely will not be reversed sadly but perhaps Green Bay will be compensated with words. :(

I just have to put my 2 cents in...the Seahawks did not win this game, the Packers just got straight JACKED! I believe the regular refs will be o the field by Thursday! If not, the NFL will lose a ton of fans!

Oh well, it's not the first N.F.L. game that's been decided by a lousy call, and unfortunately it won't be the last. Congrats to the SEAHAWKS, especially their defense! All those QB sacks.

This game is a culmination of Week 3 games in which the replacement referees looked completely lost. While there were enough controversial calls in several games, the real surprise are calls coming from the replay booth. The NFL needs to recognize that the integrity of their product is being compromised.
As long as the NFL continues to make millions and millions of dollars, they don't care one bit about the integrity of their product.

If I was the coach of the Packers I would not of let them go back out for the extra point!!! I would have demanded that Goodell review it first!!!

It's a sad day in the NFL when the ref's cheats for a team. I personally didn't have any stake in the game and enjoy good football, but the play calling in that game was so onesided Stevie Wonder could see it. To the Packers and all their fan, I say good game. you have nothing to be ashamed of. They bought their best and still couldn't stop you, the ref's had to help them out. To the Seahawks fans. I wouldn't want to win like that, but I guess a win is a win. Just remember to take your ref's with you, lol
