Racing should be racing. Like Max said, it isn't for the faint at heart. Most of us grew up with dirt track racing on Saturday night. That is want we want to see, real racing with real emotion.
well said .. :)

Sometimes I think I go on to much about how I feel about the Nascar powers. Just hate seeing this sport prissified.

It was (and I like Matt) I loved his finger pumping also. Yep boys will be boys and I could rant on the powers, but damn (excuse my language) they are trying to turn this sport dignified and dammit i want my redneck racing, bumping and helmet throwing back. Keep the drivers safe by all means but quit trying to cut their manhood off! (im jumping down off my soapbox)

oh I agree 100%, I want to see the cars back that look like the cars on the road, a chevy looks like a chevy, not decals. Hard , fast, short track racing, bump and run, none of this 2 man tandum crap like at dega and daytona, but a good hard fought win like it once was all the time. NASCAR is not for the candy-a$$ or the weak of heart. There is a handfull of drivers that still have that spirit and Smoke is one of them/

I agree with all of you on his subject, I figured that was at least a $10K helmet toss when I saw it, but then remembered that Todd Bodine threw his at Pocono in early August and nothing was really said about it by NASCAR. So if they let 1 slide, it would hard to fine another. Like Sue said is was a darn good toss!!

smoke will turn this around he can drive a car as well as any of them -have no fear smoke is here!

Smoke needs to forget about what happened at Bristol with Kenseth and focus on defending his Sprint Cup title

Tony, I can't blame you for throwing your helmet but show them who is boss and win the race. You sure had your share of bad luck lately. Let this weekend be the one.

Yeah, i don't think jen is complaining Susan, at least not about Tony throwing the helmet. I think her rant is more about Nascar powers that can't make up their mind. The race was great last week and Tony showing some fire was awesome. He needs to finish well here though if he expects to get in to the chase. Go SMOKE!
Yes, I'm PO at the system, not the players.

I asked Max, the rules have relaxed somewhat with the "Boys Have at it". Bodine threw his last month in the truck series and no fine was imposed, not like Robby Gordon several yrs ago. All in all it was a great shot we thought. LOL

Tony get's no fines for throwing his helmet at Kenseth! (i'm still laughing about this, boys will be boys mentally. Does anyone else think Nascar is playing favorites?) I love Tony, but anyone else would of got a fine. It's this kind of yo yoing from Nascar powers that just plain pisses me off.

mixed emotions Jen........ 3 weeks in a row now. You would think they could pair Smoke with someone else for a change.
Yes Max, as always. i agree, you would think they could pair them against, Johnson, Grdon, Bush, anybodee. It's hard when you love racing and get torn like this. Would really just like to see them finish well, Chase is almost here!

Smoke will have the best car this weekend and put them all down as he has done 3x already this season.

Smoke had a rough time Saturday Night, and from what I can see it appears to be open season on the #17. Harvick will keep out of smoke's way this weekend.
respect
Smoke will smoke Harvick not to mention kenseth, all I can say is Kenseth better watch his back.
