Good night. Good luck in game 3.

OK... You never pointed out what any difference was. And once again 10 posts below I explained the the similarities perfectly well. Only you know why you are pretending that post does not exist.
You and I both know you have nothing to support your spiteful accusations.

Merely saying “you are wrong” reeks of pettiness. Saying “This is why…” moves the comment above that. If you want to explain why you think my explanation is flawed, be my guest. But accusing me of being wrong time and time again is just emotion with no substance and gives the writer no credence whatsoever.

Good day.

If someone is a "fan" only when the team wins, that qualifies them as "bandwagon jumpers" in my book. It qualifies them as "fair weather" fans as well. And either way, it is ludicrous to say the Giants have more of either than any other team. Especially from someone who has never spent any significant time in the Bay Area.
San Francisco Giants 10/14/12
NO THEY ARE NOT! Bandwagon jumpers are the ones that jump on a team just because they won a championship and they were never fans before. Fair weather fans are always fans of the team, but only talk and speak about the team when they are doing well, when their team is doing bad, they disappear and they only come back when the team starts doing well again

I am not basing my opinion on this one episode, but in 2010 after the Giants won the championship, I was in Frisco for 2 weeks and everyone had on orange and black, the airport was incredible with it, the following year I was there and you couldn't find a soul wearing any orange and black, and I tried to talk to people about baseball, most of them were not interesting in talking about baseball at all, but everyone wanted to talk baseball in 2010, even the ones that knew absolutely nothing about the game, they just wanted to be a part of the excitement that was happening at the time. Now most other places especially back east they talk and support their team all year round. I go across the bridge and see more A's stuff even when the team is not doing so well. Now the people in Frisco will go to the games there because it's the thing to do. I can give you 100 more examples of how fair weather the baseball fans are there, but it will take a long long time to give out all those examples

First of all... In winning seasons there is always an element of bandwagon jumpers. The Giants had their share but from what I can tell at worst there were no more band wagon jumpers than any other team gets. Plus, there was orange and black donned all over the Bay Area in 2010 the likes of which hadn't been seen since the Bonds era. It makes sense that there was more of it after the team won a World Series. That happens everywhere. I live here year round and I know what you saw was either an error or an anomaly. There has always been more Giants stuff than A's stuff. Until the 2nd half of this year it was hard to find an A's fan. Yet Giants fans were still everywhere. Again, you are describing the 49er fans. Who admittedly have the largest bandwagon I have personally ever seen. The Bay Area is far more of a baseball market than any other sport. And the Giants drive that bus. Always have. Even when the A's were good there was still more interest in the Giants. You obviously do not live here. Therefore your comments about the Giants having more bandwagoners than anyone simply cannot be considered valid.

If that is your impression then you have only interacted with a VERY small number of Giants fans (no need to say "baseball"... It's a given) The fair weather fans are the 49er fans. Who only seem to exist when the team can win more than 9 games in a season. Anyone who spends enough time in the Bay Area would confirm this.

When Dusty was with the Giants in the World Series against the Angels, Giants up 3 games to 2 and leading in Game 6 late and it fell apart and Dusty and the Giants ended up losing the Series in 7. Now this, with the best pitching staff and they could not close it out against the Giants. It must be a curse on poor Dusty. The worst part of them losing this series to Giants is that Giants advance, now we have to listen to the Giants fair weather fans for one more series

Giants did something that has never been done before... Lost the first two and come back to win the next 3 on the road to win. The Brewers won 3 in a row in the '82 ALCS but those three wins were at home. Hoorah!!! And Yay Giants!!!!!!
