Haren has lost both of his starts . why did they trade away Saunders . Haren's record is not much better than Saunder's  what a mistake that was.
Matt I do agree with you on the trade of Saunders as that really surprised me, and you are right as Haren has not impressed me at all. Not too mention we traded away three more pitchers in that trade....what were the Angels thinking. They have now traded away 6 pitching prospects with the last two trade moves...go figure that one out?

It hasn't escaped my attention that Vlad is having a great year in Texas, we really do miss his bat in our lineup and he could very well be the difference between being in 1st and being where we are now. I have pretty much wrote off this year, getting swept by Baltimore pretty much seals our fate.
I do relate to your reply and it has been a very frustrsting year so far. I believe that Vlad had something to prove after the Angels would not give him the contract that he wanted. To be honest I am surprised that he has been healthy all year, but I do admire him and the year that he is having. Not quite sure if Vlad would be doing what he is doing if the Angels had signed him. I also believe that if Morales didn`t go down for the year, he would have been the big bat that he was providing us at the start of the year and would have continued throughout the season and being the spark plug that we need. I do not believe our fate is sealed yet until we are mathematically eliminated....until than I still believe that we can pull this out....call me crazy, but I have been called worse. Must say that you can tell the frustration has built up if you watched Hunter getting thrown out of the game tonight as well as Scioscia.....your thoughts are always appreciated...Paul

The Halos this year have been so inconsistent and I`ve never seen so many lineup changes in quite some time. Yes, we have had injuries as there is no doubt about that. In fact that was only the 6th time this year that Baltimore has won a series against opponents, and the first sweep they have had all year. Just a thought but looks like Showalter is making a huge impact real quick. Still not writing this team off yet this year as the motto from before was YES WE CAN, and if you listen to Angel talk on AM 830, the motto now is YES WE STILL CAN....I do like your comments....and would love to hear your feedback on this........Paul

Angels failed to address their biggest need before trade deadline...a solid bat. There are zero hitters over .300 and no legitimate power threats in this lineup. They have wasted a lot of solid pitching performances by failing to provide any run support. The team is full of holes right now, but I see no reason to make too many dramatic moves in the offseason. Just adding 1 or 2 more hitters and the return of Kendry Morales would make this team potent again next season.

He was pitching a great game and we need all the wins that we can get right now especially with the next four teams we are playing. The Halos need to take advantage of that. Seems to me like Scioscia has pulled pitchers early quite a bit this year and we would have more wins under the W column. Must honestly say that Weavers record would look a lot better as he has had too many no decisions with either being pulled out of game or no run support. What a shame, and speaking of run support, there has been none for Santana either as his record would look much better too! The averages of a lot of the batters in the lineup are way below their career average....we are talking like 30 - 42% lower....not good! Thinking that we are going to need the SUPER RALLY MONKEY this year with Cape and SUPER POWERS! I do still BELIEVE that we can pull this off as we need to go on a serious WINNING STREAK and the FANS must support the HALOS, believe also, and the ANGELS themselves need to believe that they can do it also! Just took 2 out of 3 from Texas which shows me that if they really want that AL Western Division Championship they are capable of it.....Got carried away here but that`s how I feel and looking forward to everyone elses comments that are true Angel Fans....Paul

Why do these Angels play so well against the good teams and then lose to the really bad teams?
